I am looking to buy cells to DIY a battery. I have looked over Lazada/Shopee and have found sellers that provide EVE cells. I am mostly looking at 280/304/314AH cells. My question is how can I be sure that these cells are actually automotive quality, new or grade A cells? Does anyone have experience with sellers in Thailand providing quality cells? Is there a list of trusted sellers or sellers to avoid?

 

Buying Lithium cells is an absolute minefield of fake, real but used, new but failed test, and who knows what, all masquerading as brand new Grade-A cells.

 

Early on in my solar adventure I bought a few cells from various Thai outlets, they were universally junk.

Once bitten!

 

I unversally buy my cells from Shenzhen Luyuan Technology Co. on Alibaba https://szluyuan.en.alibaba.com/ who have had good reviews on other solar energy forums. Ship by road DDP (Delivery Duty Paid) so no worries with VAT or duty.

 

If you want pre-built packs the Thai offerings are now better than they were with some decent commercial packs at not stupid prices. I can't really comment as I've not bought any.
