Keir Starmer's Digital ID Plans Stir Debate Across UK

What they need to control is the ethnic and cultural mix of the UK.

It's a white Christian country, and it needs to be kept that way.

Can you provide a reference to an official definition potion of the uk being ‘a white Christian county’?

Or is it something you made up?

  • You need to lock those dangerous white folk down. While illegals flood the country with no documentation of any kind.

  • The key word in all of this is choice.  Yes, we do choose to give our info to Apple etc for convenience but we can also choose not to, and there are no societal consequences to not doing so.   The key

  • Where every activity you participate needs your digital ID, which the government can turn off without a moments notice. Also link the digital ID (with rfid) to shop doors, once turned off, no entry to

Utter nonsense.

There will be a very little percentage of the population in the west who haven't given their digital ID to some company or another.

96% of the UK population uses a mobile phone. The fact that people are happy to give their digital ID to Apple or Samsung (or whatever phone you use), finger prints, facial recognition, yet are upset with this is complete horse waffle.

Just playing politics. If the racists are serious about trying to put a stop to illegals working, then this would be a good method.

Although, i do say, i don't know exactly what this Digital ID is to be used for and how extended it is.

Maybe criminals have an issue.

Criminals usually have no problems, more likely citizens that have views opposing the government being cancelled.

It already happened in Canada.

Striking truck drivers had their banking frozen.

Every natural born citizen should be chipped such that these racists can be tracked.

More big state, authoritarian nonsense from the tyrant.

All for our safety, of course.

2029 cannot come soon enough.

That is literally the mindset  behind this digital dystopia

it will become guilty before proven innocent  with the chip proving the innocence.

Anything and everything that this abominable digital ID scheme can do  is already  possible without it...its not needed and I hope it fails as it has before.

Over 2.5 million signed the petition for a 2nd EU referendum - to no effect.  What makes you think this will be different.  The UK is a parliamentary democracy.

I had a digital ID card when I lived in Turkey during Covid.  It worked very well, giving me fast access to doctors, utilities etc.

But it won't work in the UK.

Why?

Because unlike countries like Estonia (with their digital ID card), most Brits (IMHO) think the present and past governments and their representatives are total SCUM, liars, corrupt, lining their own pockets etc.  No way do I trust ANY UK poitician.

Just me 2 cents... 🙂

Update:  Has anyone thought through what might happen if these illegals are unable to work because they have no digital ID? (Assuming companies actually stick to the rules and don't employ them)

No digital ID = no income

No income = desperate for money for food/living

Result: Huge increase in shoplifting, pickpockets, muggings etc

Thanks Starmer.

It says nothing in the blurbs about needing Digital ID to claim benefits just to get a Job!

Just a hunch

But this is just another backdoor step by Starmer to getting back into the EU.

Quote

The EU’s eIDAS 2.0 regulation will require every citizen of the bloc to be offered at least one digital ID wallet, allowing them to prove who they are and to safely store, share and sign important digital documents – such as their digital ID, birth certificate, passport, student card, qualifications, driver’s licence and tax details – by 2026.

https://www.theguardian.com/world/2025/sep/26/starmer-id-card-plan-has-caused-upset-but-in-the-eu-the-debate-has-long-been-settled

Starmer and the rest of his Government are not bright enough to utilise the many benefits of a Digital ID card ( Which will do nothing to stop Illegals ), so it is probably fair to assume, that this is just cozying up to the EU, with a view at jumping back into the EU.

Cynical, Moi ?

It's actually so stupid its mildly amusing.  Suppose for a moment that those that strongly object to it (30%) do not get it.   What then?  Labour (not surprisingly) have no answer to this other than that they will not be fined, and to take Starmer at his word (lol) would mean those people would no longer earn an income, which means they cannot contribute tax, which means they have to get welfare (which is allowed without digital id), which would cripple the economy.

Then you have the useful idiots who support this whilst at the same time saying that Farage is a fascist nazi etc.  These numbskulls are also quite amusing as their short term little brains cannot see far enough ahead to see that if Farage gets in power then he would inherit a UK that has mandatory digital ID which would be a fascist dictators wet dream.   Which makes their fascist arguments completely disingenuous or they are as stupid as they appear to be.   So yeah, quite amusing.   It will not get through parliament, it will not get through the lords, and it doesn't look like its enough to distract from his illegal election contributions so he has made himself (again) look like a prize authoritarian idiot for nothing.

The Hegelian dialectic hard at work again,

Problem - Create a problem that is going to provoke a particular reaction from the general public.

Reaction - The public is angry with the problem that successive governments have created.

Solution - Introduce the policy that you prepared in advance as the solution of the problem that you created.

The United Kingdom's governments have been up to tricks like this for hundreds of years...

Didn't Starmer write the ECHR rule book for the EU?

"Sir Keir Starmer’s 1999 book titled European Human Rights Law: The Human Rights Act 1998 and the European Convention on Human Rights.

The book served as a manual for judges and lawyers on how to interpret human rights laws when they were introduced under Tony Blair’s government back in 1998."

Honest questions.

Is there a legal way to have Starmer removed before his term is up?

If so, why is it not being done?

ID cards are required by law in all of the countries in which I have lived and  worked, apart from the UK. What is most concerning to me about Starmer's proposal is the UK governments' poor record in failing to efficiently implement complex legislation such as this. Not exactly a great track record.

I don't understand how a non English speaking Arabic-looking person could get anything from the government.

Illegals won't need digital ID, it's to harm white folks not limit illegals.

They don't need any documentation to enter the UK and make claims, and never will under Starmer.

It won't only harm "white folks". It's a bit like banning guns and carry of blades outside with a length longer than x cm or so-called AML regulations. The end result is the only civilians armed are criminals and money laundering takes place in hard cash that can't be linked to a bank account.

Back to ID cards. As usual, we can deduce that as they are politicians and therefore (in the median measure) incompetent liars, the reasons given for why it's a good idea are false. I remember Tory Bliar's lot giving something like three different reasons why a digital ID was a good thing,

This will only be enforced for indigenous Brits. The ones who pay all the tax.

The takers will not have to comply.

What do we need a digital ID for, we already have National Insurance number.

Are you suggesting of all the migrants currently living in UK, including those with British citizenship, settlement visa, FLR or ILR, don't pay any tax?

It's possible to work illegally even if one is in possession of an NI number.

The digital ID is tied to UK-based services and residency. Brits living abroad permanently or foreign nationals without UK work rights (e.g., tourists) aren’t required to have it, so its really tied to those living in the UK?

Just wait until it gets hacked? Popcorn time?
