A 52-year-old bank employee died after jumping from the third floor of her office building in Kamphaeng Saen, Nakhon Pathom, in an incident suspected to be linked to stress. The event occurred around 16:30 on 3 October, after the bank had closed for the day. Police and rescue teams arrived promptly, but the woman was declared dead at the scene.

 

Rescue workers from Suksala Nukkroh Foundation, Kamphaeng Saen Hospital staff and police officers from Kamphaeng Saen Police Station attended the scene. The victim, identified as Napaphat, was found lying in the parking area behind the building in her work uniform, with severe head injuries and significant bleeding. A pair of shoes, her bank ID card and an insurance broker licence card were found with her. Several colleagues gathered at the scene in shock and distress.

 

Initial enquiries revealed that staff were unwilling to comment on possible motives. Witnesses noted that prior to the incident, Napaphat had asked security staff about the likelihood of dying if she jumped from the building. Investigators believe the act may have been linked to emotional distress, though it remains unclear whether this was due to work or personal matters. Police confirmed that she used a round plastic chair to climb over a barrier before jumping.

 

The victim’s husband, Supaporn, aged 51, arrived at the scene after being informed while picking up their child from school. Overcome with grief, he declined to provide further details and refused to comment on possible reasons behind the incident. Police are continuing to investigate, reviewing CCTV footage and speaking with colleagues to understand the circumstances.
