BBC initial CAPITAL letters on new topic title

Featured Replies

I notice that when posting a new topic, the system assumes that the first letter of the first word of the title should be a capital letter, and that subsequent letters should be lower case. For example I tried to post a new topic starting with the word "BBC", but the system automatically changed that to "Bbc". Glancing down other topic titles, it looks as if some of those have also suffered the same fate.

How can we force the 2nd and subsequent letters of the first word in a topic title to be capitals, if that's how we want them to appear?

I just tried to amend the topic title for you, but it doesn't like that either. I tried both "BBC" and "B.B.C." and both reverted to "Bbc".

I think we'll just have to live with it.

Scouse.

Uh huh! Not happy! :o Such computers ideosyncracies were never meant to get the better of us like this, but increasingly they do, and they manage to get away with it.

Do we have a webmaster we could ask? I see we were looking for one last year.

I also noticed this a few weeks ago when i tried to post in the football forum. S.F.A. or SFA didnt work. Huski any idea?

The Forum Software defaults are set to capitalize the first letter of every word in the title. Only Supermoderators or Admin can edit the topic title for you.

PM an online mod with a link to the thread where you'd like the title changed, and they can fix it for you.

/Edit - I just edited the title of this thread to give you an example... using both upper case and lower case letters.
