London woman confronts ‘ribbon-snipper’ in tense hostage row

A north London woman has described the moment she confronted another woman caught cutting down yellow ribbons tied in support of Israeli hostages still held by Hamas — an encounter that left her furious, shaken, and afraid.

The incident unfolded in Muswell Hill on Monday morning, as bright yellow ribbons fluttered from park railings — a rare show of solidarity for the 48 hostages believed to remain in Gaza, two years after the October 7 attacks.

But within moments, a young woman armed with dressmaking scissors began slicing through the ribbons, stuffing the pieces into her bag. “Snip, snip, snip,” the witness recalled. “She came well prepared that morning.”

When challenged, the woman — later identified as Palestinian-Jewish artist Nadia Yahlom — defended her actions, saying: “You can call the police if you think it’s illegal.” She then retorted that “genocide is disgusting,” sparking outrage from bystanders.

“I was furious,” the onlooker said. “The ribbons weren’t political — they were for people still suffering underground.” After Yahlom left, locals quickly replaced the ribbons, refusing to let the symbol of hope be erased.

But the confrontation left lingering fear. “What if she was waiting for me?” the woman wrote. “What if she came back with others?” Her fears proved partly justified — Yahlom allegedly returned with a man who verbally targeted another Jewish woman, leaving her in tears.

The altercation comes amid soaring tensions in Britain’s Jewish community, with hate incidents spiking since Hamas’ attack in 2023. “None of this is happening in a vacuum,” she said. “We’re all just trying to hold on to a little light.”

Idiot. She wouldn't dare try that crap in Golders Green.

Ugh...some people are just awful.

The woman who cut the ribbons is apparently supported by U.K. taxpayers.

How did Nadia Yahlom receive taxpayer funding for her PhD?

The Palestinian-Jewish artist was funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council

Anyone want to guess what the U.K. taxpayers are paying her to study?  Wait for it ...  Wait for it ... From her "bio" on the Web site of the institution where she studies:  "Nadia Dina Yahlom is a Palestinian-Jewish and British artist and visual anthropologist, looking at hauntedness, supernatural life and the bio/necropolitical between Palestine and the UK. Her research and practice considers how humans, artefacts and landscapes reverberate with colonial violence. "  https://cream.ac.uk/people/nadia-yahlom/

Her Ph.D research at the Centre for Research and Education in Arts and Media (Cream), is focused on “haunting and the supernatural in Palestinian territories,” according to The Telegraph.   Her dissertation is titled Ghosts of the Al-Ghaib: A participatory, audio-visual exploration of haunting in Palestine. The practice-led research focuses on "hauntedness, supernatural life, and the bio/necropolitical between Palestine and the UK"

Yep, these types are the most dangerous people on the planet.

They are relentless, going out of their way to harm, for no reason, just wanting to do strange things.

Take care and never confront a psycho who is carrying dressmaking scissors.
