Bulacan hosted a significant event on October 7, aimed at improving government service efficiency. Governor Daniel Fernando and ARTA Secretary Ernesto Perez spearheaded the ceremony, which highlighted commitments to more streamlined and transparent government dealings. The event marks Bulacan's initiative to drive cooperation and development in line with good governance and inclusive growth.

The event was organized by the Provincial Cooperative and Enterprise Development Office (PCEDO) at the Mesa Alta, Hiyas ng Bulacan Convention Center. Governor Fernando stressed that the program is designed to ensure no citizen is left behind, similar to cooperative principles that focus on collective progress. Bulacan is the first in the region to launch such a competition, highlighting its dedication to compliance and innovation in local governance.

Perez acknowledged Bulacan's initiative as a pioneering step at the regional level, fostering compliance and innovation among local governments. The competition invites participation from all cities and municipalities, focusing on compliance with EODB laws, service efficiency, and digital integration. An awards ceremony on December 12 will honor winners and recognize achievements in innovation, investment facilitation, and customer service.

Grounded in Republic Act No. 11032 and other related legislation, the program aims to enhance government service delivery. The event included officials from various departments such as ARTA, DILG, DICT, BCCI, DTI, PSA, and the Board of Investments, all expressing their support. The collaborative effort underscores a shared vision for a more efficient public sector in Bulacan.

As the competition moves forward, local governments are poised to enhance their service delivery models, setting benchmarks for others to follow. This initiative holds potential to create a ripple effect, promoting widespread improvements across other regions. The focus remains on fostering a business-friendly environment and elevating standards for service efficiency.
