October 10, 2025Oct 10 UN ready to flood Gaza with aid, awaits Israel’s approval The United Nations says it has 170,000 metric tons of aid — food, medicine, and emergency supplies — ready to surge into Gaza as soon as Israel gives the green light, following a ceasefire deal brokered by President Donald Trump. U.N. humanitarian chief Tom Fletcher told reporters the agency is “ready to roll and deliver at scale” after months of limited access that left Gazans facing famine and disease. He called for all crossings to open immediately to deliver aid at “a much, much greater scale.” Under the 20-point ceasefire plan agreed by the U.S., Israel, and Hamas, the U.N. hopes to expand its operations dramatically during the first 60 days of the truce — targeting 500–600 aid trucks per day and reaching 2.1 million people with food, medicine, and nutritional support. Fletcher said famine “must be reversed” and that bakeries, hospitals, and water networks will be restored as part of a broad humanitarian push. The U.N. also plans to deploy medical teams, rebuild sanitation systems, and reopen temporary classrooms for 700,000 displaced children. Ahead of winter, thousands of tents and tarps will be brought in weekly to shelter families whose homes were destroyed. Israel has accused Hamas of diverting aid and replaced the U.N. as Gaza’s main supplier earlier this year with a U.S.-Israeli contractor. U.N. spokesman Stephane Dujarric said the organization has not been told if that contractor will remain involved during the ceasefire. Fletcher urged wealthy nations to step up funding, warning the stockpiled aid represents “just the tip of the iceberg.” “Now is the time,” he said, “for every government and every individual to make their generosity count.” Key Takeaways: UN says 170,000 tons of aid are ready to enter Gaza. Ceasefire deal offers first real chance to expand relief in months. Agency calls for massive funding and full Israeli access approval. Original source
October 10, 2025Oct 10 The UN should simply ignore waiting for permission and deliver the aid themselves. The problem with that is that the UN will need a bigger army and Air force than the Israeli's have, simply to fight off the Israeli's. OYOH if the IDF fights the UN troops the Israel and ANY country backing them can be expelled from the UN. If it means moving the UN HQ to say for example, The Hague, then do it as no war4 criminals will ever visit there. It it means kicking Israel and its supporters out of the UN until they can be have like civilised countries, then so be it.

"The Hague is a very diverse city, about 57% of the population has a migration background. Cities such as Amsterdam and Rotterdam also have similarly diverse populations. This leads to various research and policy questions." Can't imagine any UN officials voting to move themselves there ........... A city with nearly 60% Muslim immigrants ain't gonna be a nice place for wealthy politicians to live.

Your statement was: “A city with nearly 60% Muslim immigrants ain't gonna be a nice place for wealthy politicians to live. “ Do you want to have another go or do you accept your claim was nonsense?
