Thai Airstrike on Cambodia Defended as Self-Defence

The Royal Thai Air Force (RTAF) has defended its airstrike on Cambodian military bases, citing Article 51 of the UN Charter and describing it as a lawful act of self-defence. The operation used F-16 and Gripen jets in response to Cambodian BM-21 rocket attacks on Thai civilians. Two Thai civilians were killed, and multiple sites were hit, including a 7-Eleven store, leading to seven more deaths and numerous injuries.

A 17-year-old boy died after causing a four-vehicle collision in Kanchanaburi, Thailand, on October 14. The accident took place on Highway 323 in the Tha Khanun subdistrict. The boy, driving a pickup truck without a license, was gravely injured and later died at Thong Pha Phum Hospital.

Man Arrested in Fatal Phuket Assault Driven by Jealousy

A man was arrested in Phuket after fatally assaulting his ex-wife’s partner during a violent incident fueled by jealousy. The suspect, Prapan Chukaew, 43, from Phatthalung province, was apprehended near a rest area by Phuket City Police Station on October 15. He faces charges of causing death by inflicting bodily harm without intent to kill, under Section 290 of the Thai Criminal Code, as confirmed by Police Lieutenant Colonel Rachat Phromkhun.
