Why Trump Pardoned a Crypto Bro Who Helped Launder Billions

It’s the latest step in the president’s legalization of financial crimes—as long as the criminals are enriching him.

In 2023, Changpeng Zhao—founder and former CEO of Binance, the biggest crypto exchange in the world—pleaded guilty to money-laundering violations. Zhao, usually called “CZ” in crypto circles, had to leave his role leading Binance but maintained his ownership of the exchange. This spring, Binance made a deal with Donald Trump’s crypto firm to host the president’s stablecoin, generating tens of millions of dollars for Trump and his family.

Yes...the Grifter-in-Chief. The White House Grift Shop.

No one is above the law, unless you put money in the President's pocket.

The LINKED article discusses a bit of the "CZ" pardon, but also details Trump's increasing dementia and failing memory regarding other pardons and things of which he should be well aware.

As much as I believe Trump is self-serving and corrupt to his core, I also think WH insiders know the guy's losing it mentally, and are exploiting that to personally benefit or help friends and allies.

And let's not forget: the dottering old fool is the guy with the nuclear codes.

Really, that's all you got.   Hardly worth mentioning ... :cheesy:
