I could not find reliable answers to this question - If as a foreign national living in Thailand on the Retirement Visa, with my 800K Baht in the bank, what happens to the money should I drop dead here?

 

The situation would be a foreign retiree, 800K in the bank, UNMARRIED, no children, and, NO WILL.

 

What happens to the 800K? You cannot spend it unless you know you are dying and fritter it away during the last year before renewing the visa extension, other than that, do the foreigners embassy become involved? Who ultimately can grab the cash?

Do you have no heirs?

Make a Will. Always change it if you need to, but atleast it will go where you want it to go.

Hospital 
Cancer research

The girls at the local bar or massage shop

And so on.
