Not necessarily.  I've known guys who spent their prime earning years chasing tail in Asia, then found it impossible to get a decent job when they decided they'd had enough of paradise and barely-of-age sex.  Most companies don't like to see a huge gap in job history.  At least not for higher level careers that pay a living wage.

TikTok is full of these "content creators" who have been living in Bali or Thailand for a couple of weeks giving advice on all manner of things as though they are experts. Most of them say they have "moved" to these locations when in fact they are there for a 2 week holiday.

No mention of their type of visa.

  • He’ll dump her for a Thai bargirl from Isaan soon.

So they've been here a month? Good luck to them but they really need to be here a year or so to experience the joys and the frustrations of Thailand before they pass judgement.

Again, I wish them well, but I have to wonder what percentage of "content creators" can actually make a living at it.   It's a crowded market.

So many "experts" in bar girls and how to live the good life in Pattaya. A few years ago when I was visiting Khon Kaen, a German guy knocked at my apartment door. He looked like a homeless and was riding a bicycle. He told me to me horrible stories, and gave some advices. The following sentence I have heard over and over: "It is very hard to find a good Thai women". I have heard  such words from Thai people.

If they are all doing the same thing, ie"content creators", it has to be interesting and diverse to make any money. A lot will soon realize it's just not that easy.

Dont know if crime in thsiland is lower then UK...

Feel media "filled" every day...

According to the crime index score, UK has a much higher crime rate than Thailand.

Thailand 37,9
UK 47,4

This is fine for a gap year but eventually they will become liable to pay tax in Thailand and need something more stable than a DTV.

I see that Sweden is higher than both at 48.4. Sweden must be one heck of a crap hole.

Time for Mr Hunt to man up and just deal with the knife fights back in the UK.

Real men don't run away from their problems.

So no Real Men found amongst all the foreigners living in Thailand?

Yep, it is! You are 100% right. Sweden once was a very good country, but the last 20 years they just shoot nail after nail in the coffin like a support team on speed dial.

Get away from Pattaya. There are nice ladies everywhere. Learn a bit of Thai, look presentable. Go up north to Issan or Chiang Mai. Many lovely girls there not lured by Pattaya fantasies. Just my hmo. Been married for 19 yrs, live in Issan. Not flaunting money, wake up to hear animal life. Do what we like. Overseas travel to Singapore and Vietnam and a jaunt to Germany for Rhine River cruise. Nice to get away some times

They were too polite to say what they really meant, that living in the UK these days paying top dollar for everything, sky high rents, sky high food, sky high everything. Then to sit and watch it all being squandered on illegal immigrants from third world hovels, must be truly heartbreaking. Illegal immigrants given preferential treatment in housing, in health, hospitals, education. Thye like me and thousands of other Brits are well pissed off seeing our own citizens treated as second class underclass. Good luck to them, it certainly will be a much better life here in Thailand than living in that <deleted>hole with those <deleted>s.

No doubt these two have had to jump through all the legal hops to remain here legally, while all the time their homeland is being overun with terrible aliens that do not comply with the laws, do not integrate and do nothing but cause trouble, crime, murder, rape everywhere they go.

Thailand is No Country For Old Men Young Farang Couples.  My guess is they are not working on a Non-Imm B visa.  The visa issue will eventually chase them out.  Realistically they should try Cambodia.  Still has the SEA flair.

Miss Roshni Ward should dump her farang boyfriend and marry a Thai guy.  Three years and she could apply for citizenship.  One year if her Thai sugar-daddy puts a bun in her oven.

Crime is much much lower in Bangkok and Pattaya than say a UK city like Glasgow.

I hate these Youtube vids that race to the bottom in terms of cheapness for living.

Surely not every single place in the USA, Canada, UK, Australia and NZ is unaffordable?

Vancouver and Sydney are literally worst in the world for affordability

Wow always negative comments, just welcome the couple to settle here and make a new life for themselves, give them a break !!

Crime rate is probably lower in Caracas or Tijuana compared to Glasgow.

Yeah OK, but.... there are other cities besides Vancouver and Sydney to live in Canada and Austr.?

Who would wanna live in those cities anyway?

Overrun with immigrants and busting at the seams with infrastructure that was OK 40 years ago

But this after 1 month, I'd  like to hear them after 3 or five  years

Who cares? Not me and I suspect not many others.

I wish them luck. However, Chiang Mai is already over-run with foreigners seeking a bargain life outside their home country. It will only inflate prices even more here in the north. Soon, locals will be priced out of their own city.

One year may suffice, but 3 or 4 would be better. But yeah, one month?? lol  🤣

Another one of THESE stories...?🙄😴
A "content creator", whatever that's supposed to be... could be a million different things, from some kind of scientific research content to playing with toys online for children to watch for hours on end... or gaming 12 hours a day....  And an "online fitness business"? lol Yet another thing that could be a thousand different kinds of "business". They could be totally legit or they could be a total joke.
So, they've been here a month... and a story is being done on them?? They obviously have a connection somewhere to push their names out there and get a boost to their online businesses. It wouldn't be too farfetched to find out a few months later that they were on the wrong kind of visa and ended up in trouble. These stories are so full of non-story material🙄 It's like someone is trying to paint a pretty picture without connecting the dots first. It sounds like they must come from a really horrible place. The article paints the entirety of the UK as though it's some sort of semi hell on earth. The generalities spewed out here are not helpful for any sort of realistic picture of life in either country.
Nothing personal toward them. I hope the best for them. But this story is just gross.
