He can count and ask where the toilet is in Thai though.

No wonder he is angry and bored.

I would be too if I was him.
Socially isolated on a shoe string budget.

He would be better off going back, getting a job, save some money and then come back.

Sounds like he can’t afford to go back or go anywhere decent.
Doing it tough.

If you intend to make Thailand you're home, it's impolite and inexcusable not to learn the language.

Phuket is a boring tourist ghetto. That menu looked pretty crap. 2 imported steaks on the menu lol

So why many Aussies here then?
It is boring if you have no money, but for those not on a shoestring budget it is the best place to live in Thailand.

If you are on a shoestring budget it definitely would be boring. You do need money to live here.

Sad pensioner. No job. No skills. Unfit and lazy. Get off your ass and go do something.

As I said before, you are sick. Can you program a CNC? I had 16 of them, but you would not know what a CNC is, but never mind, not everybody is smart, keep trolling. Bye

He is angry mostly because of jealousy, loneliness and stinginess by the sounds of it.

A complete and utter flog.

It's boring to me. Full of chavs. I prefer Chiang Mai. I dont eat seafood. Phuket has nothing of interest. The nightlife is crap. The people are crap.

You're a pensioner.

CM is ok for a short trip.

But the air pollution is horrendous for a lot of the time.
And no beach or chavs.

People from poor families often don’t eat seafood, it is too pricey, but that is another topic.
Stick to your chicken noodle soups.

I eat seafood in Oz not Thailand. Thai stuff is dodgy. Full of chemicals and industrial waste. It sits in the sun for hours going off. For a UK pensioner you sure talk a big game.

No. I live off investments here and in the UK.
I am not old enough to get a pension.
I am retired though.
Make a lot more than $100 an hour, every hour, without working.
Getting into bitcoin 15 years ago helped a lot. Then my inheritance just topped it all off.

$2400 a day without working then eats 500 baht pizzas.

It is probably better if you comment on things you know about.

Otherwise people will just consider you a flog.

If you are wanting 400 baht rooms I doubt very much you ever eat Phuket lobster.

  • Sweet and firm: Phuket lobster meat is naturally sweet and has a firmer texture than lobsters from colder waters.
  • Slightly salty: There is a hint of saltiness that complements its natural flavor.
  • Buttery: It becomes very buttery, especially when grilled and served with garlic and butter.
  • Smoky: Grilling adds a pleasant smoky char to the meat.

It is very good.

Oz seafood is way better. Warm waters produce inferior seafood. Thai seafood is 3rd rate. You're a pensioner who flogs too much.

South Australian lobster, scientifically known as Jasus edwardsii, is a species of southern rock lobster found in the pristine, cold waters of the Southern Ocean off the coast of South Australia. It is renowned for its sweet, delicate, firm white flesh, rich 'sea spray' flavor, and a meat-to-shell ratio that is nearly double that of other lobster species, making it one of the world’s most indulgent food experiences. The lobster is a slow-growing, selective feeder, nourished by nutrient-rich waters originating from Antarctica

Your visa extension stories are hilarious.

Personally I have found it very easy.

Don’t forget your pink umbrella.

I have never heard of anyone else having to wear a Thai for a visa extension, I think they were teaching you a lesson.

Good on them.

Thanks for that, it really shows where you are coming from.........Sadly.....😬

Show me my other visa extension stories, because I don't recall telling any, oh, you can't...😅

No, I never wore a Thai, too heavy.......😂

No pink umbrella, you mean pink tights which you are envious of, eh.........😘

Now back to your master-baiting, where you belong.........:clap2:

Learning Thai for me seems to be at a standstill mostly because we always ( and I mean always ) speak English.

Also, is it really necessary to attend a Thai language school, and have you had any negative thoughts about joining one.

You don't want to learn Thai. You'd understand if you did that they all hate falang and are just out to milk you. Best, if you do make the mistake and learn Thai, don't let them know you understand what they're saying so you know what they really think.

Nobody really knows the origin of the word - there are several theories, often contradicting one another. Additionally, some words tend to change their meanings significantly over time. From my own experience, farang is often (though not always) used today as a substitute for the word “stranger,” and more often than not carries mildly derogatory connotations.
