Renewal O Marriage at CW: (1) Anything New? (2) Wife PU Ext.

Featured Replies

Hi

I just completed assembling my package and thought I'd ask if there's anything new to be concerned with ?

Noticed over the years despite all the smaller little niggling stuff that nothing changes. I bank at BBL and the money sits untouched yoy. A simple no if that's the case is fine.

OH! Is it a problem if my wife picks up my passport and renewal? I doubt it, but wanted to ask. She'll update the account and I'll give her a photocopy of my passport signed asking for her to manage the issue

Thank you

pretty much the same stuff, photos, marriage documents (usually you need updated Kor Ror 2 if it's almost a year old) bank letter, 2 month transaction detail report, updated book the day you apply, relevant copies etc,

There are a couple new forms, but you can fill them out there

you should get a 21 day under consideration stamp when you apply,

anyone can show up with your passport and get the year extension inked in, so your wife is fine

Thanks Tod

I've always just used a bank letter 400k banked nothing showing detail. Never been a problem.

I always get a new kr2 but they always reject it taking the copy of the original. That's been like five years now. Guessing you can get a kr2 even if divorced and it will be stamped. No validation of a current marriage. It's just validation of past registered marriage. Therefore, they realize this and stop taking it. I provide both rather than try to outguess them.

Already completed the TM7 so hope they don't make me rewrite it.

So I pick the extension up in 21 days. You know the success of peoplepicking up the last day before expiration... how it used to be? They let me do it the old way last year because we already purchased tickets South. A week before the new year it's insanely inconvenient. Just curious and hopeful

Thanks for your help and input

So you asking if you can pick up pp one day early from the date they gave you?

Maybe yes may be no.

No, that wouldn't happen and I wouldn't try it.

Let's say the extension expires Jan 15. I apply Dec 1. The old way was to return extension on Jan 15. The new one is 21 days. That puts me days in front of Xmas and a week before NY. Highly inconvenient. Last year bc we had tickets she allowed me to put extension Jan 15.

I'm wondering if people have reported, discussed this issue outcome and any evidence they are flexible. Of course, we will try.

Wife has to return to BKK so this year point is moot, but it's ongoing headache.

I really want to bump the extension date 6-8 months but immigration has no way to do this.

Hope this clarifies, thx for interest

Prior to next extension you could obtain 60 day extension to visit wife, provided you have not done that previously.

That would push your renewal date back by 60 days.

Another way is if you pp is expiring then the extension would only be issued till that date.

Thanks 🙏

That would get me out until March far better, but we are back down South late March for another month.

Any chance the following year I could do it again to get me into May. You had stated I could do it once??

That's going to be far more quiet and well out of our big holidays south

I recall Joe saying years ago that could be done but did change the date. I could be wrong...
