A natural disaster emergency has been declared on Prenn Pass in Đà Lạt's Xuân Hương Ward following a major landslide. The incident occurred between km224+600 and km224+700, causing part of the roadway and a retaining wall to collapse. Authorities have implemented urgent safety measures, including placing warning signs, banning unauthorized access, and relocating nearby residents.

The landslide was triggered by heavy rains that hit the area, resulting in approximately 7.5 meters of roadway damage. In response, a monitoring system was established to track further potential landslides, while traffic is being redirected. Plans for repairs are underway, led by the Department of Construction in coordination with survey teams and project owners.

Authorities are overseeing the evacuation from high-risk areas, acting swiftly to prevent further danger. Traffic police have closed the affected section of the pass and rerouted vehicles through Mimosa Pass and Sacom Pass near Tuyền Lâm. The area remains unstable, with officials warning of continued risk until repairs are completed.

Earlier, another severe landslide occurred near Đatanla Bridge on the same pass, causing significant road surface cracks and heightening the threat of more collapses. This prompted additional precautions and reinforced the need for immediate remedial action.

Looking ahead, repair proposals are underway to restore the affected road sections. Continuous monitoring will remain in place as experts work to fortify the area against future landslides. Residents are advised to stay informed and adhere to safety guidelines as efforts continue to stabilize the situation, reported Vietnam News.
