US Stops Afghan Immigration Requests After D.C. Shooting

No, this is not an “illegal Trump action.”

The existing D.C. National Guard deployment is under a court stay (still legal until at least Dec 11 or appeal resolves).

Adding 500 more troops after a deadly ambush two blocks from the White House falls squarely within the President’s Title 10 authority over the D.C. Guard and emergency national-security powers.

Mark Kelly’s video was about hypothetical deportations and Posse Comitatus, not this terrorist-style attack on uniformed troops. Telling troops or agencies to ignore lawful orders after an American soldier has just been murdered is not principled resistance; it’s dangerous partisan grandstanding.

The order is legal, the threat is real, and the response is proportionate.

Don't think this how the legal system work.

The illegal conviction is legally binding and the finding of guilt remains in effect unless and until it is overturned by a higher court on appeal. In this case, the judge stayed her ruling for the administration to appeal. Filing an appeal does not cancel or suspend the conviction itself.

  • Good move.   I'd ban immigration from all these problematic countries immediately.

This is just one additional area where Trump is showing tremendous disrespect to the Armed Forces. Tens of thousands of Afghans aided us during the 20-year war, and we promised them an exit strategy.

  • Maybe Trump should deport all people in the USA involved in shootings - can start with MAGA members.

You’re confusing criminal convictions with civil injunctions.

A criminal “guilty verdict” stands unless overturned.

A civil injunction (like this one) is automatically suspended when the judge grants a stay pending appeal—which Judge Cobb explicitly did until at least Dec 11.

The stay means the ruling has zero legal force right now. The original deployment remains lawful, and adding 500 more troops after a fatal ambush is plainly within presidential authority.Your “illegal until overturned” line is flat-out wrong in this context.

The troops are legally on the street today, Period!

Ask yourself if the shooter had been a white Swede would Trump have reacted the same way?

'Nuff said.

Oh, please—that smug "white Swede" hypothetical is the laziest, most tired gotcha in the progressive playbook, a vapid what-if that dodges every fact about this blood-soaked reality. 'Nuff said? Hardly. Let's eviscerate this drivel with the cold truth:

Trump's reaction isn't about skin tone or passports; it's about a dead American soldier, a gut-shot Guardsman fighting for life, and a system that let a CIA-vetted Afghan asylum seeker drive cross-country to ambush them two blocks from the White House.

If your imaginary blond Viking had done the same—sniping at troops in uniform—Trump would've done the same, because the threat isn't ethnicity; it's vulnerability in a city that's a bullseye for every nutjob with a grudge. But you know that doesn't fit the narrative, so you peddle this race-baiting fanfic instead!:coffee1:

To believe that Trump would have reacted the same way towards an Aryan Swede to punish ALL SWEDES is hopelessly DELUSIONAL Of course I'm assuming that you also deny that the maga movement is white nationalist.

You’re delusional if you think Trump would let a “white Swede” who murdered two National Guardsmen two blocks from the White House walk away without freezing whatever pipeline brought him in and surging troops to D.C. He’d do the exact same thing, because his reaction is about the attack and the vetting failure, not skin color. And no, MAGA is not “white nationalist.” That’s a tired, debunked smear.

Trump’s coalition is the most diverse Republican base in history (record Latino, Black, and Asian support in 2024/2025), and he hammers white domestic terrorists (Antifa, far-right lone wolves) just as hard when they spill American blood.Your race-obsessed fantasy doesn’t survive contact with reality!:whistling:

Yes it certainly is a white nationalist movement.

There is a straight line from the 2017 “unite the right” rallies in Charlottesville to the far-right-led “Stop the Steal” movement to lies about Haitians eating cats and dogs to Donald Trump’s first day in office upon his return to power. No president in the post-civil-rights era has been as racially aggressive as the now-47th president. Nearly every day since he squeaked his way back into the White House, operating under what can properly be called Trump’s White Nationalist Manifesto, his effort to prevent immigrants of color from entering the country and to roll back the rights of people of color already here has been evident. With the white nationalist ideologue Stephen Miller by his side, Trump is acting to address “anti-white feeling,” i.e., a far-right narrative with no basis in fact, but one that excites his MAGA base.

The Nation article is pure partisan hysteria, not evidence. Calling Trump’s 2025 agenda a “White Nationalist Manifesto” collapses the second you look at facts:

Trump’s coalition just set GOP records with minorities: 46% of Latinos, 24% of Black men, 40% of Asians.

He has repeatedly condemned white supremacy (El Paso, Buffalo, signed anti-KKK resolution).

Deportations target criminal aliens (70%+ have records), not “people of color.”

Ending DEI and birthright-citizenship loopholes is about merit and sovereignty, not race.

Symbolic moves (Jackson portrait, base names) are heritage fights, not a Klan rally.

A movement that wins the most diverse Republican coalition ever is not “white nationalist.” The Nation’s take is left-wing fan-fiction, not reality.

No amount of evidence will move most people in the cult. There are now signs of hope that more and more cult members are realizing the emperor has no clothes.

No, because Sweden is a civilised country with (mostly) civilised people. Can't say the same for Afghanistan.

Have you been to Afghanistan?  My neighbor was a K9 handler there.  Said they were animals and the world would be a better place if we just nuked them.   Pretty harsh, I admit…but I was never in the military and didn’t get to see what went on….but I heard about it.   Was skeptical about it all….until the news got ahold of it.

Feel free to read a little more about their culture.   Reputable sources of course.   And we turned a blind eye to it.

Bacha bazi[1] (Persian[a]: بچه بازی, lit.'boy play') is a pederastic practice in Afghanistan and in historical Turkestan, in which men exploit and enslave adolescent boys, sometimes for sexual abuse, and/or coerce them to cross-dress in attire traditionally only worn by women and girls and dance for entertainment.[7] The man exploiting the young boy is called a bacha baz (literally "boy player")[3] and the young boy is called a bacha.

Not letting them immigrate to the US is nothing.   When they’ve sorted out their “culture”…..maybe in a century or two….and are no longer barbaric animals, then perhaps reconsider.

Banning all Afghans is pure racism.

No, calling the indefinite pause on new Afghan immigration processing "pure racism" is a lazy, race-baiting slur that weaponizes a national security crisis to score partisan points, ignoring the dead American soldier and the vetting black hole that let a CIA-linked Afghan national ambush Guardsmen two blocks from the White House.

Your YouTube clip (a rant labeling Trump's broader "third world" migration rhetoric as "utter hypocrisy") is just more echo-chamber outrage porn—vague on facts, heavy on vibes—but it doesn't make policy scrutiny into Klan cosplay.

This is about plugging a proven leak in a war-torn country's pipeline, not hating on Pashtuns.

It’s a targeted pause on new applications, not mass deportation of Afghans already here.

The shooter entered under Biden’s 2021 rushed airlift (weak vetting), then got asylum in 2025, Trump's watch, despite multiple red-flag layers failing.

Nationality-based pauses are legal (INA §212(f), upheld by SCOTUS) when a country is a known terror hotspot with no functioning U.S. embassy.

If a Swede, Canadian, or Venezuelan did the exact same thing, the same pipeline from that country would be frozen too — because it’s about threat vectors, not skin color.

Calling a direct response to spilled American blood “racism” is cheap moral posturing that dishonors the dead soldier.

If a Swede, Canadian, or Venezuelan did the exact same thing, the same pipeline from that country would be frozen too — because it’s about threat vectors, not skin color.

Nice try. I was talking about an Aryan Swede. No it would not have been the same!
