Police Captain Piya from Pattaya Police Station along with rescue workers were called to the top of the Pratamnuk Mountain in the early hours of Thursday Morning after receiving reports that two young girls had jumped from the viewpoint area, well known for providing a panoramic view of Pattaya. At night, groups of young people will often make their way to the area. On this night, two young girls both aged 17 joined a group of 3 other girls. The pair were in a relationship however things were not going well and it was decided by one of them to separate.

The other, whose name is withheld due to her age, could not face the prospect of breaking up and decided to jump off the steep cliff. For an unknown reason, the other girl decided to jump as well. The rest of the group realized what had happened and summoned assistance. Both appeared to be in a serious condition, however this double attempted suicide case did have a happy ending. The pair were taken to Banglamung Hospital where they were given the all-clear by doctors. We spotted them as they left the Hospital, hand in hand, with the relationship apparently back-on-track.
