March 11Mar 11 Author Popular Post This morning the weather app showed rand early and I nearly didn’t bother going to take photos of the sunrise at Ban Krut Beach. I’m glad I did. There was a storm coming in from the south with thunder and lightning. I packed up and got back for coffee in my room when it started raining. March 13Mar 13 Author This morning, the weather app said rain this morning from 6am onwards. There wasn’t and I took some photos from the same beach. Due to the forecast I decided to catch up deleting unwanted photos etc on my laptop. After lunch about 2pm the rain arrived and its heavy enough that there is no power at the resort. Planning tomorrows ride depending on the weather, but hoping to ride south.
March 13Mar 13 Have you run into any issues with buying fuel? I was recently in Mae Sot and a number of the stations were out of fuel. Do you carry extra fuel with you on your trips?

March 15Mar 15 Any beach areas between saam roi yot and chumphon you would particularly recommend people stay for a couple of days? Once drove down to Chumphon, but one of my sonstook ill as soon as we arrived, so we ended up having to drive home for him, so saw little.

Ban Krut a bit further south, just follow the coast road.

March 20Mar 20 Author This morning I decided not to ride south to the border with Malaysia, I had ridden it before and its nothing special. I decided to ride west to the coast past Trang City to Pak Meng, a 230km ride. The one stop on route I rode to was a viewpoint without a view! Eventually I found a shop that topped me up with 4 litres of 95. March 26Mar 26 Author Today was a short ride of 73km from Ban Krut to Prachuap Khiri Khan. I took my last sunrise photos early before leaving. On the main road the garages seemed to have a mix of shut, long queues and ok. March 29Mar 29 Author Popular Post Friday was my last day of my tour. It was also the longest day on the road and a hot and sweaty day. I left Prachuap Khiri Khan to ride home to Pattaya. The coastal ride up to Bangkok was great, after Bangkok terrible! I was stuck on the road that runs alongside road 7, surrounded by big trucks and riding at walking speed. I arrived home 11 hours after starting. A ride of 460km. The total distance was 14,493km Two accidents, both on tracks that were easy, luckily I was riding very slowly.
