Dangers of CT Scans Cancer

Featured Replies

I just listenening to the ABC Radio Australia, on their " health matters" program about the dangers of CT scan in giving Cancers

Data from the United states said the radio program,   they looked at 93 million Cat scans performed on 62 million patients in 2023 ...they projected this will result in approx 103,000 future Cancers , bowel ,breast ,lung , leukaemia

It depended on where the CT scan was and the level of Radiation exposure

They say the future if cancer 5% will be blamed on CT scans

A Australian radiologist said he is blaming this on doctors who asked for their patients to be given  CT scan on backs ,knees etc when they would be better getting a MRI scan where there is no radiation

He blames the doctors receiving commission from these private radiology companys who are owned by big investment firms

He says last week he got silly referrals from doctors requesting their patients have a CT scan for asthma , knees ,backs etc when an MRI could of been done

So I'm cutting down on CT scans now after hearing this
