The context you added above does not add any meaningful context to the illegal US actions or answer my two questions!

Do you know how to use the internet ? Easy to find the answers to everything yourself. I know the legality of, vis Congress & the UN.

You people are like little children, asking questions. Any one, and they ask 'Why ?', and that, and they ask 'why' again.

Two times you repeated asking me, after, I stated ...

... "Do a google and you'll find also within international law per UN.

I have better things to do that explain thing ( my posts ) to people every time I post." ...

When I start teaching law & political science, I'll send you a notice where to attend. Until then, you could have answered it yourself, using AI, instead of asking me.

They know exactly where they’re coming from and where they’re heading.

Designated by what legal authority and by what international laws?

So Schumer & dems don't like blowing up drug boats. Then I guess he shouldn't have co-sponsored the bill that allows it. coffee1

Not many folks against it, when voted on ...

... House of Representatives: Passed 392 to 16.

... Senate: Passed 97 to 2.

... "Chuck Schumer was a co-sponsor of the bill, Anti-Drug Abuse Act of 1986, in which the Maritime Drug Law Enforcement Act of 1986 (MDLEA) was incorporated as a subtitle.

The primary sponsor of the overarching Anti-Drug Abuse Act of 1986 (H.R. 5484), which was eventually enacted as Public Law No. 99-570, was Representative James C. Wright Jr. (D-TX)

The "Maritime Drug Law Enforcement Prosecution Improvements Act of 1986" was specifically Subtitle C of Title III of the larger Act. This act made it unlawful for any person on a U.S. vessel, or a vessel subject to U.S. jurisdiction, to manufacture, distribute, or possess with intent to distribute, a controlled substance." ...

Did it make it lawful to bomb any vessel you suspect, kill the crews, in international waters or even another country's waters, rather than arrest, obtain proof and prosecute?

Quite so, big difference between a fishing boat and narco speedboat!

fishing boat.jpg

AI

Commercial fishing in South America uses various boats, from small, fast center-console speedboats for coastal work (like tuna or snapper) to larger steel trawlers, longliners, and seiners for offshore, large-scale operations, often utilizing reinforced hulls, sonar, and refrigerated holds, with key types including trawlers, longliners, and gillnetters, built for durability, range, and specific catch methods, not just raw speed.

Types of Vessels Used

  • Center-Console/Speedboats: Smaller, agile boats, often fiberglass, popular for inshore/nearshore fishing for species like tuna, mahi-mahi, or snapper, relying on speed to reach grounds quickly.

I worked on gillnetters in Puget Sound. There were a few fast speedboats. I once watched the Coast Guard chase one, The Wahoo, noted for fishing in off-limits places. It had a waterjet engine, no propeller. He could fly over the nets, whereas the Coastguard had to go around. I don't think they ever caught him.

Did anybody see any mention of that in the press, like ever??? Obviously, the public was not given an opportunity to contact their representatives before they made this bill out of nothing. Blow 'em out of the water--it's the American way!

We all know this is just political theatre which will impact drug imports into the US by zero per cent. 107 people killed so far and no evidence of drugs except...one boat with maryjane.

US Coast Guard searches for survivors after strike on suspected drug vessels

WASHINGTON, Dec 31 (Reuters) -- "Three narco-terrorists aboard the first vessel were killed in the first engagement. The remaining narco-terrorists abandoned the other two vessels, jumping overboard and distancing themselves before follow-on engagements sank their respective vessels," Southern Command wrote on X.

Southern Command said later on Wednesday that it had carried out a strike on two vessels. It did not indicate where the strikes were carried out but said five people were killed as result.

U.S. SEARCHING FOR 8 SURVIVORS: OFFICIAL

A U.S. official, speaking on the condition of anonymity, said eight people had abandoned their vessels and were being searched for.

Why do you think it's only fentanyl they are transporting. Maybe boats are a faster & cheaper way to get it (cocaine & heroin) from CO, VE to MX.

Do a google and you'll find also within international law per UN.

I love the way this administration cherry-picks and quotes the bits of UN charters, treaties, conventions, and resolutions that fit their narrative, while ignoring the bits of other UN charters, treaties, conventions, and resolutions that don't.

Or is it just you?

PS, The UN doesn't make laws. I assumed that you knew this already.

I don't believe I stated any international laws. Simply told the one poster, to google and find out for himself when queried me about international law.

I posted USA bills that were passed by the same folks complaining about them being possibly used.

7 current Congress persons that cosponsored the bill of 10 folks that voted on the USA bills/laws.

The US can pass as many laws/executive orders as it wants but they are meaningless if they contravene International law.

Did you check to see if any of them do ? Any resolutions submitted or pasted at UN against the USA, about the sinking of boats ?

Personally, I don't know if, or care. One less OD in the USA, and sinking 1000 drug boats is worth it. Tax dollars finally used to keep US citizens, safe .... from their own stupidity cheesy

Just now, KhunLA said:

Yes but the actions being undertaken by the USA are not i.a.w. International law.

So yes that cheesy emoji is obviously directed at a stupid US citizen.

How many times I have to tell you to avoid using that emoji as it points out your own stupidity.

Didn't you claim the other day that I was on your ignore list, like everyone else that doesn't agree with you?

Yes that was obviously a good use of the "I'm a fool " emoji

What a sad and useless response to a VERY serious subject.

Wasn't responding to the subject, I was responding to the poster. I think we've already discussed our difference of opinion, and sort of agreed to disagree, sort of.

I don't care, and he hasn't quoted any int'l law that USA is violating. So either one of us seem to care enough to research it. But I'll respect his opinion, if it makes him happy.

Unlike you, who simply trolls and poorly attempts to insult me
