That's the thing you don't understand: I'm not a fascist; that just means you want to be cucked by an authoritarian. I'm further right-wing in my belief in freedom and not needing Daddy government to look after me.

I don't need anybody to look after me  but its nice to have authorities in place to deal with the detritus,,   in the same way its nice to have ones garbage dealt with by others

Interesting that there is no mention of the length of his overstay, and that his situation is painted in a (relatively) positive light.

During this period, he had no stable accommodation and his passport had been damaged by water, preventing any possibility of travel and his visa being nearly two months overdue.

Ive seen him almost daily and he's been doing so much more good for the community, cleaning the beach  and kept soi 5 free for rubbish atleast  a couple of 100 meters up from the view point ++

I've felt sorry for the guy that visable had a disorder and would regularly slip him a note or 2 regardless I've seen him multible times buying food for the dogs before himself. Often felt like an ass for not prioritizing calling the authorities and happy someone finally stood up for him. Wish the lad all the best but afraid he'll just be locked up or ignored heavily doped

You are scared by people who do not want to live the life you've been conditioned to believe is the only way. This guy might need help, but I've met others you would deem vagrants that just want to live a different way, not attached to the modern world; they move around, camp, look after themselves and do not want to be ruled over. This should be an option to everyone and not be demonised or criminalised

Fair play to the Immigration Police now for feeding him etc, hopefully he'll get repatriated as soon as possible.

fine and when they get sick they can curl up and die rather than use the hospitals the rest of society has contributed to

You've caught onto what voluntarism is. Do not steal my money for killing people and gifting it to your friends, and I'll (or my like minded community) look after myself through voluntary transactions.

repatriated = deported   So  rest assured it will be asap the immigration bureau don't mess about

All detainees are fed by the authorities  in theory at least

Your argument is basically, ‘The state causes destruction, so go live in destruction.’ Congrats, you just proved my point for me

Not at all,   you are the one who has renounced the state why would you wish  (or even be allowed ) to avail yourself of any of the benefits the state has provided,   Roads , Electricity.  Running water, Police , etc   you have already agreed that hospital treatment  is another luxury you should not be entitled to.   You cannot have your cake and eat it

You are either part of society or you are not ,you cannot pick and choose just the bits that suit you

That is not the issue,    the authorities are doing their job / duty  ,   some lefties  on here disagree with that,  up to them

Gaza shows some of the worst parts of statism, literally killing thousands of people but you ignored that because you had no logical argument.

Monopolising everything and then calling it a ‘benefit’ doesn’t prove your point; it just proves you’ve never questioned anything. Last time I checked the state doesn't give me the elec and water for "free" either.

If the state actually allowed alternatives, we’d see pretty quickly whether people choose your ‘benefits’ or just tolerate them because there’s no other option.

Also the guy who tried to call me a left winger, pointing to socialist policies as a win for statism is absolutely hilarious

Indeed it does , but maingy disease ridden stray dogs are not included,   You don't care about the mutt anymore than me , but you, like the  other hypocrites, will not waste an opportunity to indulge in virtue signalling

I understand that whilst Russia has conscription It is not universally applied. By law conscripts only serve inside Russia - the troops serving in the Ukraine are "volunteers", better paid.

However, once conscripted it seems that a cynical and rather liberal interpretation is placed upon "volunteering", and Russia has of course incorporated Donbass and Crimea into Russia anyway.

Not quite true. There have lots of conscripted been sent to the front and died. Even 18-year-olds. Moreover, there have been cases of Indian, Filipino and African guys tricked into signing contracts while before some had wanted to go to study or work in Russia. Not to mention hundreds of North Korean soldiers dead there. And before the conscription was seasonal, but now it's all year round since this year ... And the majority there are not "volunteers", but those convicted for serious crimes, and signing the contract gives them a chance to get freedom, some of them are even become "heroes", even after commited severe crimes in the past.

How do you know he didn't clean up? Are you suffering from a disorder aswell but know how to obtain a correct visa ? The guy made the best out of his <deleted>ty situation and may have been happy in his own way regardless compassion has proven far for better than condemnation, try it!

indeed that is all we can do,  ps making a common sense statement like that leaves you open to abuse, as proved in the replies I've received  to my comments.  in this thread.  I salute you

Now you are just talking rubbish,  Gaza was just an example off the top of my head of a society were the regime provides pretty much nothing for its citizens and  I imagine asks for little in return ,  I assumed that would be ideal for a "free spirit " such as your self.  There are other similar $hitholes take your pick

So you do agree to  pay for certain benefits like electricity when it suits you. that is not how things work in the real world.  Do you or will you receive a pension ?   presumably you resent having to contribute towards that and feel the rest of society  is obliged to finance your retirement

A regime is a state, (also I'm fairly sure that Gazans have to give up a lot of freedoms due to statism, you know like freedom of movement and free trade due to state enacted sanctions).

Israel is a state that is destroying another state while being funded by another state. Wherever you look, that issue is caused or enhanced via statism!

You keep saying electricity is a benefit of the state; I purchase it from a state here just as I could purchase it from a private entity if the state allowed competition, a right-wing policy, I might add.

I absolutely resent having to pay into a public pension (I very much doubt I will receive one by the time I reach eligibility); I would prefer to invest as I see fit, which I do as well. It's weird you keep bringing up socialism. You are clearly a left winger.

Don't tell me , tell the immigration authorities , let me know their response.   He is an overstayer simple as that,

I talked to a foreigner sitting in ASOKE in Bangkok begging money. The sign said that he needed money for a ticket.

I offered him food and he refused that. After 1 minute i realized that this guy was a drug user only looking for cash for his next shot or pills. He was teethless and i saw in his eyes that he was totally wasted in his head.

If a person refuse a hot meal i don't care anymore.

Seem to be a lot of people with mental problems ending up in Thailand. Sort of like a hub or something.
