Is it noisy in Pattaya now?

Featured Replies

I know a lot of forum members here don't actually live in Thailand or even Pattaya,

but for those expats who live in condominiums what's the current noise level like with all the families and single young drunken men coming over for their 2 week xmas holiday?

I couldn't imagine living somewhere like the bigger condominiums which are host to AIRBNB at this time only to have screaming kids running around or pool side drunken parties at night by John and his mates from Australia where part of the fun is smashing the deck chairs and smashing bottles at 2am near the pool

They don't care they're only in your building for 2 weeks,

No thanks I don't know how you expats put up with that in your building especially at this time of year by drunken visiting farangs paying your strata / body corporate fees if your an owner

I recall the big condominium in central Pattaya ,banning Airbnb this year by using fingerprints

indeed, neighbour is mowing his lawn... the noise is next level.

Is noisier as it's busier, only this morning 3am, people kicking off outside the condo, middle eastern guy demanding the cops show up, all quiet 20 mins later

I have a love hate affair with Pattaya

I feel like it's dominating me and I am it's submissive slave

I may go back one more time

Very unique because Toyota never made a RAPTOR. Surely it's worth a lot of money.

The occupants colse their front door leaving you no opportunity to perve on them is more likely the reason why you would not stay there.

Just the usual bed headboards knocking on your wall, a plebs winter Pattaya holiday break.

When the doctor at my medical asked me if I worked in a noisy environment, I just replied, yes, Thailand..... whoosh - he completely didn't get it!

The usual petty bickering and off-topic nonsense from the usual crowd has been removed.

I went out on the balcony for a quick look at the action then back to bed

You got addicted to bargirls, so now your Australian wife doesn't do it for you anymore?

He's gay

Cannot hear a thing ......but then I am in Chiang Mai 😁

regards worgeordie

Traffic is pretty heavy on 2nd road. I've seen pattaya Klang eastbound bumper to bumper.  Soi 11, Diana no more than usual.  Sois 7 and 8 used to blast bar music starting around 10. Don't hear those stereo wars so much anymore.  Love the weather this time of year, but I also miss older quieter pattaya when there was real low seasons, 2004 _ 2010, before so many big condos got buikt5,

You are obviously missing Pattaya so I thought I'd do a drive by at your favourite condo this afternoon and share ..... Flybird

BTW, take care living in Sydney, very dangerous, all those extreme, radicals etc

😘

Juristic bans non urgent maintenance in the tourist season, so my condo, in a large block in Jomtien, is quieter than normal, with none of that incessant drilling. Few more Russians about, probably short term renters, but no problems with them, seem decent people.  No screaming kids or noisy parties at the pool. Way quieter than my apartment in Australia.

Yes, all that stuff that was supposed to be completed by high season getting pushed hard and earning bonus payments.
