My local disk D on my desk top is completely empty. That's the first time ever I have seen this.

What should I use or not use it for? Thanks.

This all depends on size.

 

There are some things you should not use it for, however, no matter how big it is, unless it is encrypted of course.

Even then, there are still things you should never use it for.

 

Never store Government Classified Documents.

With newer decryption techniques, this is never safe.
