Yeah, we need a 2nd thread on Trump's alleged mental decline.

Why does that journal call itself "The Daily Beast"?

What's a "beast"?

Not surprising living your life eating McDs

At this rate in another 50 years he'll be at the level of senility Biden openly displayed. Which IIRC was not up for discussion. Funny how times change

The Daily Beast was the fictional newspaper featured in Evelyn Waugh's satirical novel "Scoop" about the tabloid British Press.

Very funny novel, although I suspect not widely known outside of Britain.

Mental decline is a man living in a new country caring about what happens in a place 10,000km away.

All, I mean, all the information you have about trump have come out of a screen.

Fake news websites. Trump is a busy man. Most farangs in Thailand have trouble visiting the night market.

US President Donald Trump, aged 79, has been the subject of ongoing health scrutiny, particularly regarding his cardiovascular and cognitive health. His White House physician, Captain Sean Barbabella, released a memo on December 2, 2025, stating that Trump's recent cardiovascular and abdominal imaging results were "perfectly normal," with no evidence of arterial narrowing or heart abnormalities, and that his cardiovascular system shows "excellent health". The imaging was part of a comprehensive executive physical conducted in October 2025, which Barbabella described as standard for someone of Trump’s age and lifestyle. The doctor emphasized the preventative nature of the scan, aimed at identifying issues early and ensuring long-term vitality.

Oh dear, more unsettling news for the left. I’m sure there’s a straw somewhere in there for them to grasp and take it for a silly run.

Odd that they keep giving him so many cognitive tests. One should be enough, unless even the doctors suspect a decline. His claims about stopping the 1994 Rwandan Genocide, as well as the war between Cambodia and Armenia give rational people cause to suspect an accelerating decline. MAGAs simply believe him.

The over/under on Trump 'heading FAR South' is the Spring Equinox. Place your bets.

No, this Daily Beast hit piece by Dr. John Gartner—a partisan Democrat activist and "Duty to Warn" founder who's spent years violating the APA's Goldwater Rule by "diagnosing" Trump without examination—is pure speculative trash, not science.

His "dementia monitoring" spin on Trump's perfect MoCA scores (30/30, "aced" three times) is baseless fearmongering—routine for aging leaders, no evidence of decline.

Trump's "rushed" speech? Consistent rally style, not "hypomania."

Gartner ignores his own bias (criticizes Trump but not Biden's gaffes) and pushes alarmist nonsense to sell books.

Mental health pros alarmed? Selective outrage—real experts call Gartner's remote "analysis" unethical quackery.

Trump's sharp as ever; this is just T.D.S.  -fueled partisan horse manure. 😅

Why do people act surprised that a 79 y.o. man who actually has a family history of dementia would show signs of slowing down both physically and mentally.

Yes there are a few exceptions here and there but across the board it is completely NORMAL for older people to start slowing down, not as agile, not as sharp, some levels of confusion, more sleep, more overall health concerns.

Trump on the other hand refuses to admit what anyone in their late 70's likely is personally experiencing and that is that as we age we slow down.  To try and claim otherwise is total BS especially in a high pressure job.  Regan was too old to be Potus in his second round as was Biden and as is Trump.

There should be an age limit on all top govt officials to include senate house governors and yes POTUS.

No one certainly gets these tests every month or so unless something is drastically wrong. Seems all is not well with the clown in cheif.. Personally i think there is no way the village idiot can or will see out his whole term.

Yes, Evelyn Waugh and Graham Greene were both masters of satire, sharp, funny, presciently accurate and yet sympathetic.

Why do Americans vote in geriatrics? Didn’t you learn from Biden? Trump was already displaying age defined dementia during the election not to mention his narcissistic ego. I’ve never understood the Left Right politics of America where you ignore reality if it’s your side and always refer it back to the othersides as if that makes it ok! Open your eyes and you will see regardless of your politics! And enjoy your Trump class ship. I believe they’ll be built 600% cheaper than the existing!

Mentally and physically. He can barely walk or climb stairs anymore. Semi senile, insane, unhinged and dim. He is declining fast. The pressure is getting to him. And he has zero support from his spouse, it would appear. The support seems to go only one way with her.

the mental decline will be "declining" even more after he sees the new polls.... it's all the way down Donnie and there is no way you get "it" up ...LOL

It's accelerating but has been already known long time ago. It's been covered up by the GOP and right-wing media for years! They should be held accountable!

Being the tremendous businessman that he is he will be able to negotiate a 1500% discount on the ship, just like he did on all pharmaceuticals. That's why all Americans now are are getting pharmaceutical drugs for nearly free.

Well you certainly seem to have a severe case of <removed> or probably MAGAnitis!

Trump thinks that Finland is part of Russia, thought he could buy Greenland, doesn't know how magnets work, thinks that he can bring drug prices down by 200% and more and thinks he was an ace student, when in fact he has been called, "the dumbest student in my class" by a couple of tutors......and the list is long and just proves that he is dumb and has been for a long time and he's slowly getting worse.

Add to that the fact that he thinks he has stopped a war between two countries which weren't at war and also and has great difficulty in pronouncing acetaminophen.....and the list for this clown just goes on and on.

The only people who think that he is NOT suffering from dementia/senile decay are his close sycophants and supporters on AN, mainly because as part of the MAGA cult they are either dumb, don't have much of a working brain or don't want to upset poor Donnie, after all he does like the "poorly educated" so they try to fit into this category wherever possible and they make a very good job of it.

No, your "dementia" rant is deranged T.D.S nonsense—Trump's "gaffes" are either misquotes, hyperbole, or deliberate provocations, not signs of senile decay.

Aging happens to all (Biden's your exhibit A), but Trump's sharp mind "aced" MoCA tests 3x (30/30), and experts like Dr. Ronny Jackson dismiss alarm-ism as partisan quackery.

Finland/Russia: Not a gaffe—Bolton's book claims Trump asked if Finland was "a satellite of Russia," but it was a joking probe during a 2018 meeting; Finns laughed it off as ignorance, not dementia.

Buy Greenland: Serious 2019 proposal for US security (strategic Arctic base)—Denmark rebuffed it, but it's policy, not confusion.

Magnets: Real quote criticizing carrier tech ("drop water on magnets—that's the end"), but inaccurate, preferring hydraulics. President Trump is not a physicist, remember what Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson said???

Drug prices 200%: Hyperbole for dramatic cuts (actual proposals aimed 50–80% reductions via negotiation)—standard politician exaggeration, not math failure.

Dumb student: Disputed old anecdote from a Wharton prof (William T. Kelley, via a second-hand book)—Trump graduated with economics degree, no evidence of failing; critics call it urban legend.

Stopped war between non-warring countries: Misquote—Trump boasts preventing escalations (e.g., Russia/Ukraine pre-2022 or Israel/Iran)—not "stealing 200%," just braggadocio.

Acetaminophen pronunciation: A slip-up in a rally—common for anyone (Biden's "God save the Queen"?)—not dementia proof.

Your "MAGA cult dumb" sneer? Mirroring—real experts warn against remote diagnoses as unethical.

You really do need to understand what the word 'cult' means as you obviously have no clue!

Trump's running circles around critics at 79; and you are getting very desperate.

The "poorly educated" dig? Trump loves 'em because they see through your snobbery—unlike your echo chamber. Get therapy for the obsession; Trump's thriving, you're just seething.😅

No....Thank You.......:cheesy:

he's going to get pissed and CBS should expect retaliation, he's rant will be tremendous and he will be calling them extremists & leftists and will follow up on his previous threats of removing their broadcasting license and will sue them for billions unless they agree to settle, that's how he deals with freedom of speech, that's "his" American way of freedom of speech and that's why he didn't/doesn't like the democratic  EU way thus he sanctioned them, he has to get locked up and the faster the better, he's a danger to the free world, back in July he blackmailed Paramount/CBS and extorted money out of them under the pretext of a huge law suit, that's how he the POTUS works, blackmail/extortion/threats, nothing to do with freedom of speech or any other freedom

The network also trimmed Trump’s opening remarks from roughly 12 minutes to about two minutes for viewers at home, cutting out some of his freewheeling asides—including his crack at the laughing crowd as “miserable, horrible people.”

In July, Paramount, the network’s parent company, agreed to pay $16 million to Trump’s presidential library to settle his $20 billion lawsuit over what he claimed was deceptive editing of a Kamala Harris interview, a deal the company announced without an apology.
