Bangkok Metropolitan Administration officials are continuing the restoration of the road surface on Samsen Road outside Vajira Hospital, aiming to ease congestion and restore normal traffic flow as quickly as possible. The works are intended to reduce disruption for commuters, hospital visitors and nearby institutions, particularly during peak travel hours.

The update was provided on 24 December 2025 during a site visit by Wisanu Subsompol, Deputy Governor of Bangkok. He was accompanied by Waranya Leelaburanapong, Director of Dusit District, along with district executives and representatives from relevant agencies, who jointly assessed progress and on-site conditions.

The section of Samsen Road in front of Vajira Hospital is a key transport route in the Dusit area and serves large volumes of daily traffic. Ongoing works to reinstate the road surface have caused congestion, prompting the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration to prioritise completion and minimise cumulative delays for road users.

Wisanu said the purpose of the visit was to closely monitor whether the resurfacing was proceeding according to plan. He confirmed that agencies involved had mobilised machinery and personnel to repair and improve the road surface so it could return to a safe and fully usable condition as soon as possible.

The deputy governor stressed that the main objective was to allow the public to resume normal use of the route without prolonged disruption. He noted that timely completion would help relieve traffic bottlenecks that tend to build up during morning and evening rush hours in the area.

Alongside construction progress, Wisanu emphasised the importance of traffic management while works are still under way. Relevant agencies were instructed to design and implement clear traffic layouts, install public information signage and deploy officers to manage vehicle movement on site.

These measures are intended to enhance safety and reduce inconvenience for motorists and pedestrians passing through the area. Particular attention is being paid to people travelling to and from Vajira Hospital, as well as schools and other educational institutions located nearby in Dusit district.

The Standard reported that officials indicated that coordination between district offices and partner agencies would continue until the road surface restoration is completed. The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration expects that sustained supervision and strict adherence to safety standards will help ensure the works are finished efficiently and with minimal impact on daily travel.
