At around 1.00am on 9 January 2026, police were called to a violent fight on Pattaya Beach, Soi 12, after reports of injuries caused by a sharp weapon. The incident caused panic among local residents and both Thai and foreign tourists who had gathered in the area.

According to police, two women were found engaged in a severe physical altercation in front of a large crowd. One woman used a sharp metal object to chase and stab the other woman, causing injuries to her arm and head.

Nearby, a shirtless man was seen standing guard close to the scene, shouting threats to prevent bystanders from intervening. His actions heightened fear among people in the area, prompting witnesses to shout for help and contact the police as the situation escalated.

Police officers from Pattaya City Police Station, led by Pol Lt Col Tharathon Katanyu, Deputy Investigation Inspector, coordinated with Sawang Boriboon Thammasathan Rescue Foundation to control the situation. Officers were eventually able to restrain the female suspect and detain the shirtless man, later identified as “Bang”, as he attempted to flee the scene in a saloon car.

The injured woman received initial first aid from rescue workers before being taken to a nearby hospital due to stab wounds to her arm and head caused by a sharp object. Her condition was not further detailed by authorities.

Witnesses told police that the two women had previously argued and verbally abused each other about two days earlier at Pattaya Beach. They said Bang had also been involved in the earlier dispute, provoking people in the area and inserting himself into the confrontation.

On the night of the incident, witnesses reported that Bang drove his car to the beach, parked nearby, and shouted provocations, daring others not to interfere. He then stood watch while the woman accompanying him attacked the victim with the sharp metal weapon.

The injured woman, who asked that her real name be withheld and identified herself only by the nickname “Nong Tanyong”, stated that she had an ongoing conflict with the female suspect, named “Mind”. She said Bang threatened people at the scene before Mind rushed at her and stabbed her in the head and shoulder.

She added that the situation was resolved quickly because members of the public recorded video footage as evidence and alerted police in time. Investigators have detained all suspects for questioning, are gathering evidence, and will summon both parties for further interviews before proceeding with legal action.

Maybe Bang has been doing a double bang bang with the two ladies..

Methinks he was a pimp trying to control his business.

I was walking their last year and a druggie thai guy was threatening a woman with an 8 inch blade knife, luckily he was too drunk to stand up straight

Probably her husband, brother, or boyfriend. 🙂
