January 14Jan 14 President Donald Trump has declared an "economic boom" despite rising concerns about prices, during a speech at the Detroit Economic Club. He announced plans to outline more housing policies at the upcoming World Economic Forum in Switzerland. In his address to a formal audience of Detroit Economic Club members, Trump highlighted his tax cuts, tariffs, and trade deals. However, he withheld details on new measures aimed at controlling costs and addressing affordability issues, which he labelled a "fake word" created by Democrats. Recently, Trump directed Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac to purchase $200 billion in mortgage bonds to lower rates and proposed banning large investors from buying single-family homes.Trump also announced plans to cap interest rates on credit cards at 10%, noting such measures would require legislative approval. He previewed his upcoming address at Davos, where he intends to provide further details on housing policies to help Americans own homes affordably. Despite his economic optimism, many Americans remain worried about rising prices, with polls indicating economic concerns will play a significant role in the upcoming midterm elections.According to a poll by the Detroit News and WDIV, almost two-thirds of likely Michigan voters reported noticing rising costs, with 48% feeling the economy has weakened under Trump. Nationally, the Labour Department reported a 2.7% increase in consumer prices over the past year. Trump criticised Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell for not cutting interest rates significantly, describing him on social media as "Too Late."The Federal Reserve made several rate cuts last year, though not to Trump's satisfaction, leading to tensions between the administration and Powell. During these economic discussions, Trump criticises familiar political rivals, including Powell, former President Joe Biden, and several Democratic congresswomen. He also expressed frustration with Democrats’ policies while revealing a conversation with Senator Elizabeth Warren about lowering credit card rates, reported NBC News.Key Takeaways:Trump announces economic plans amidst rising price concerns.Housing policy details to unfold at the World Economic Forum.Tensions continue between Trump and Federal Reserve Chair Powell. They are not revenue-raising tariffs.”“The fact that they raise revenue was only incidental,” Sauer said, shortly after oral arguments in the case began.https://www.cnbc.com/2025/11/05/supreme-court-trump-trade-tarrifs-vos.html
January 15Jan 15 Popular Post From AI...Bottom Line: Biden’s 2024 economy was marked by steady growth, job creation, and controlled inflation, while Trump’s 2025 economy saw continued expansion but rising inflation, weaker transparency, and market volatility.
January 15Jan 15 Popular Post And Trump lied, as usual.Fact check: Trump litters Detroit economic speech with numerous false claims about economyInflation hasn’t “stopped.” Consumer prices are up during this presidential term, not “down.” Grocery prices are rising, not starting to fall “rapidly.” US businesses and consumers, not China, pay US tariffs on Chinese imports. It’s impossible to reduce prescription drug prices by “thousands” of percentage points, since this would mean Americans would be getting paid to acquire their medicines.https://edition.cnn.com/2026/01/13/politics/detroit-speech-trump-economic-club

January 15Jan 15 Aw, c'mon, give him credit for keeping one promise: he said he'd drain the swamp. Not only did he do it (to a degree), he gave all those newly-homeless slime creatures cabinet positions, but took in other sewer dwellers as well. Man, is he gonna go ballistic when gets rooked by Besset's Argentine scam. And man, is MTG (soon to be known as Miss America First) going to use that in 2028.MAGA, baby! I can feel the country getting greater by the minute! Or maybe that's the Oxy kicking in . . .
January 16Jan 16 Popular Post This man is not only completely unhinged he's insane and he's out of touch I think what he's really saying is that there's been an economic boom for his own personal accounts, due to massive corruption, and the hundreds of millions of dollars he is likely raised by selling pardons to the ultra rich. But for 70% of Americans the economy is utterly devastated. I have a small business in America and I know many business people in America so I do speak from experience here. Business is down dramatically in the last 12 months as the degree of economic uncertainty that this clown has brought to the table has devastated consumer confidence. The macro numbers continue to look good but that does not reflect the reality for the vast majority of people, small businesses, and consumers.

January 16Jan 16 Popular Post Straight out of the pathological liars playbook. Fortunately evidence of how badly he’s screwing things up is available regularly on a daily basis. He lacked the ability to run his own businesses successfully, bankrupt six times and his first four year term were enough to emphasis his complete ineptitude and the extreme levels of BS he’d use to deny the reality of what was really happening, his response to Covid being a prime example. He fails to differentiate between being president and a reality tv star, and America is paying the price.

I just saw your Secretary of Agriculture saying "the simulations" are proving that you can get a hearty meal consisting of a piece of chicken, a piece of broccoli, a corn tortilla and "one other thing" for $3! I'm a bit surprised, because I thought you'd have to be in Cambodia for that to be enough, but since this Administration is built on competence and truth it must be true, right?Man, with meals this cheap and with pharmacies paying you to take their meds (remember Trump saying prices are down 2000%) you guys must be living like kings!Enjoy!
