Operating system and browser were requested too but I'll try anyway.

This is what I do on my laptop with Firefox and Win11. Select the link by highlighting the text, then right click and select one of the options shown. Alternatively copy and paste the link to your address bar.

Yes, I know about copy and paste, but before you just used to click the link, but many things have happened since the upgrade (downgrade, never mention my name as an active poster), but do not worry me
