Republicans freaking out about Hispanic voters after Texas Upset

Featured Replies

On Saturday, a Democrat posted a 14-point victory in a Fort Worth-based state senate district President Donald Trump had won by 17 points in 2024, a staggering swing that was powered by significant shifts across the district’s Hispanic areas...

It’s the clearest sign yet that the GOP’s newfound coalition that propelled Trump’s return to the White House may be short-lived...

Polling already showed that Republicans were rapidly losing support from Hispanic voters. But the electoral results were a confirmation of that drop.

No problem. Johnson already alleged that recent Dem wins have been achieved by rigging those elections! 😅

Poor chap, looks a bit stressed doesn't he?

All this politics malarky must be keeping him off one or two of his "social media" accounts.

Must be a bit of a grind sometimes, being at the hub of matters!

I'm not freaking out. Any other Trump supporters here freaking out?

The freaking out bit is happening in the GOP, perhaps not amongst the cult of Trump’s supporters, foreign and domestic.

Who is freaking out? Names and positions?

Hey Trump folks? Who is freaking out.

Maybe its the Dems convincing themselves they are going to win the Presidency forever based on an off year state election

I'm going to make a wild guess and say that you haven't read the article. Because if you had, you would have read this:

It should be an eye-opener to all of us that we all need to pick up the pace,” U.S. Rep. Tony Gonzales, a Republican from a majority-Hispanic district in South Texas, said in an interview. “The candidate has to do their part, the party has to do their part. And then those of us in the arena, we have to do our part to help them as well.”

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) told reporters Tuesday that the election was a “very concerning outcome.” Texas Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick posted on X that the results should be a “wake-up call for Republicans across Texas. Our voters cannot take anything for granted.” Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis said “a swing of this magnitude is not something that can be dismissed.”

Or maybe you think that Ted Cruz, Ron Desantis, and Dan Patrick don't count?

Or maybe you just don't know who these people are?

Or maybe you're trying to make much out of the phrase "freaking out"?

The fact is the whether you use "freaking out" or "deeply concerned", leading Republicans aren't happy about the situation now.

When its 3 and 20 on his own 40 in the 4th quarter with 1:99 to go and the bills down by 6, Josh Allen doesnt freak out in the huddle, he makes the same speeches.

Crowing is fun till you have to eat it. Keep convincing yourself, I doubt it will soothe your angst.

Trust you to deflect by making it personal. Where was I "crowing"? You asked for names, I gave them to you.

And those names aren't exactly insignificant ones, are they? Maybe try reading the article next time before posting.

Well I can certainly imagine why Latino voters who supported Trump are deeply disenchanted with his policies, and his intense levels of racism that have been on full display. Hopefully the Republicans will get trounced in the midterms, and the Democrats will take back the House and the Senate, leaving Trump doubly impotent.

Mais quelle surprise! I'm sure it can't be right. Must have been rigged. I'm sure Hispanic voters all recognize the merits of trumpism.
