Job Growth Last Year Was Far Worse Than We Thought. Here’s Why.

Exclusive — Sen. Sheehy on Jobs Numbers: U.S. Businesses ‘Investing in American Jobs in America’

https://www.breitbart.com/economy/2026/02/11/exclusive-tim-sheehy-jobs-numbers-u-s-businesses-investing-american-jobs-america/

“I think those job numbers, when you look into the last twelve months of job transformation in America, it’s so important to drill into what the jobs numbers actually mean. And, what they mean is, American businesses are investing in American jobs in America,” Sheehy added.

Of course the left wing Democrats will try to downplay these fabulous employment numbers but the proof is in the numbers. President Trump is winning again.

Barack Obama's average annual unemployment rate during his presidency (2009–2017) was 7.41%, according to data from Investopedia.

No wonder they tried to put a lid on the jobs report. They've also successfully killed Gallup presidential polls after almost 90 years. I wonder why? ❓

What is embarrassing is you. 90% of the so called facts you post are googled so quickly there is never any fact checking done. You just have to get one more post up there. You are the kind of guy that would be so proud, literally over the moon to win a trophy like this.

I studied economics in the 90s. Obvious most lefties don't know the basics. Under 5% is fine. Obama had 7.3% average. He was terrible.

Trump also has inflation under 3% which is ok also.

If you lefties actually grew up a bit and studied the data and researched it you might be taken a bit more seriously.

Orange man bad does not work.

From the OP the worst stat is this: "the Labor Department’s Bureau of Labor Statistics on Wednesday said that the U.S. added just 1.5 million jobs in 2024". Nothing to do with Trump but hey, that's why most of the Bidenomic fans ignore and just bypass it. It's just a common and predictable kind of behaviour from the left.

Compared to Trump just adding 181,000 jobs in 2025. That's 12% of what Biden created in 2024. Despite four rate cuts by the Fed.

Your post is just a common and predictable kind of behaviour from the right.

So many distractions from the fact the job situation worsened under Trump.

Economists don't view 4.3% as a problem but you do as a troll on the net. I guess you have no real hobbies.

As of February 12, 2026, the U.S. economy added 130,000 jobs in January 2026—above expectations—driven by growth in healthcare, social assistance, and construction,

Why do you keep trolling? Below 5% is close to full employment. Your responses are that of a 10yo boy.

He is trolling. Economists view 4.3% as low and close to full employment. Since when do Trump trolls know more than economists? He is whingeing just like you. The average unemployment is much higher. G7, UK and europe figures are higher. Trump is doing fine. Any normal person can see that.

Why do you keep trolling and distracting attention from the fact that the job situation worsened under Trump, with irrelevant comparisons?

It's not a disaster but it's worse than in 2024, and contradicts Trump's narrative (I am not even evoking his campaign promises).

This is the definition of trolling, something that you are not at all good at.

If the leader was a Democrat you would say a 0.3% rise is nothing. You are a Trump hating troll.

Facts -

4 to 5% is a normal range. 4.3% is at the lower end and totally reasonable. You lefties need to stop making up your own theories and use time tested economic principles like I do. Trump's eco data has been good except for the covid period.

Biden and Trump did a good job on unemployment. Maybe next time ask an adult to post on your behalf.

Trump made it worse, on all indicators: job creation number, unemployment rate, native born unemployment rate, and also labor participation rate.

So he's Hitler and ww3 starts next week due to 4.3% unemployment which is 3 points below the Obama average ok.

It's like paying 43 baht for pad thai instead of 40 baht and making an issue of it.

More dishonest comparison from you. When Biden started his mandate, the unemployment rate was 6.1%.

It rose from 3.4 to 4 in the last 21 months. Why no panic? Now a panic at 4.3. You've lost the plot. Find a real hobby. Trump hating is a disease. Economists view under 5% as good.

April 2023 3.4%

0.9 rise since

0.6 rise under Biden in 21 months

0.3 rise under Trump in 12 months

So Biden did worse than Trump on a monthly basis.

But still 20% better than Biden by the actual versus expected ratio by year.

No sense of perspective from you, as usual.

So you think that the ratio is more significant, or as significant or nearly as significant as the total number of jobs even though the Biden total was 1.5 million and the 180,000 under Trump. What kind of reception do you think such an absurd comparison would draw from the 1,320,000 more people who found work during 2024?

And why do you even think that the comparison is significant at all?

The U.S. economy added 130,000 jobs in January 2026, significantly exceeding the expected 75,000, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS). This marks the strongest monthly job gain since December 2024 and contributed to a drop in the unemployment rate to 4.3% from 4.4% in December
