SIA Receives World's Best Service Award From Travel & Leisure

SIA was voted by Travel & Leisure readers to be the top airline for 2003 World’s Best Service Award in the international airlines category. SIA has won this prestigious award consecutively since 1996.

With a score of 90.78, SIA was the highest ranked airline, pulling ahead of Cathay Pacific (86.40), Thai Airways International (85.68), Qantas Airways (84.52) and Virgin Atlantic Airways (84.19).

The World’s Best Service Award winners were selected based on readers’ evaluations of the quality of service at cruise lines, airlines, and hotels around the world. Ellen Asmodeo-Giglio, Vice President for Travel & Leisure, commended that the service on SIA “is a favourite among today’s most discriminating consumers.”

Other awards

In the past quarter, SIA has also garnered several prestigious awards. In OAG’s ‘Airline of the Year Awards’, SIA clinched the ‘Airline of the year’, ‘Best Europe to Far East/ Australasia Airline’, ‘Best Trans–Pacific Airline’, ‘Best Airline Based in Asia’, ‘Best Economy Class’ and ‘Best International First Class’.

In Reader’s Digest Asia’s SuperBrands 2003 Survey, SIA won the ‘Platinum award for Preferred Airlines’ for 4 consecutive years. From Irish Travel Industry, SIA was the ‘Best Carrier to Asia/Pacific Rim’ 11 years in a row.
