Japanese Tourist Badly Hurt in Pattaya Street Assault

Police are investigating an attack in Pattaya after a Japanese tourist was chased and beaten by a group of Thai men in an incident captured on video. The victim, identified as 25-year-old Kosei Kanasashi, suffered serious injuries including bruising, bleeding and vomiting blood after the assault. Clips shared online show him trying to escape before being knocked down and attacked in full view of bystanders. Rescue workers were called to the scene and he was taken to hospital after initially declining treatment. The case has drawn wider attention because of the graphic footage and the brazen nature of the attack on a busy public road.
