I always love the "where are they now ? stories

I was looking through old photos this morning of a few years ago as I spotted one where I was sitting at the Murphy bar in Soi Bukhao/ LK years ago

It has the motto "never goin home " in the background, beautiful Irish green bar

Now I must admit I had forgotten all about it

What happened to it ?

May I ask also the Chinese restaurants , we used to have the Jolly Friar , and another one I can't recall but remember it had rather a "racist " name ?

Oh how things quickly change ,names change, people die off , people leave and the landscape leaves with it , it's actually quite fascinating and interesting to see the change

I always was "interested" on watching the Pattaya news channel tv reporters and I must be going back to the late 2000's and I was obsessed with one man who used to report that was covered in tattoos from the UK , never saw him maybe after 2010 , I was a big fan of his

Oh how Pattaya has changed

I also loved Howard the policeman

Oh where are they now ?.

And I refer to the cold chisel song

I liked the Cockney copper from a few years ago, maybe his Cockney father taught him English

I believe Fabulous radio wound up last year. Howard left TH for the UK over 12 years ago. So the station owners story got mixed up or he was telling porkies.

IMO guys shouldn't be wrongly mentioned in a bad way, when they can't defend themselves.

I listen to their YouTube news most days. Seems the most informative Thailand news with a very well spoken newsreader

If you are referring to to the "Cockwell" inn on 3rd road the whole site has been developed. Lady who had the bar were lovely, staff same, she had fallen out with the English guy who had bought it for her and wanted her to sell it.,

Drank there for years from 2006 while working offshore Asia. Left Pattaya on retiring 2015 moving up country to my Thai company owned land with a house.

Those where the days.

I used to have a bar....Popeye's......between Soi Bukhoa and 2nd road....I drove by the other day and couldn't even tell where it had been.........anyone remember the old tourist police station and the two tier concrete structure close by....the bars on top never rented, I don't think.

I think I remember Popeyes , must be over 15 years ago

I wonder whatever happened to the White Rose , if I recall the owner attacked a YouTuber

Enjoy while we can as soon it will be all American or UK junk food outlets, that will fully take over.

Just see how the newer generations in Thailand are no longer those slim frame bodies they used to have. The good point however is that the young ladies are becomming more and more busty😜
