Good comedy. Mentally ill Brits hating on America. Forum has nothing to do with Thailand much at all.

I would consider someone who has made 150 posts in the past 24 hours seriously mentally challenged.

What does that post mean?

"Do you use a spoon" What for and why the question?

Not really. Up until last year I was smoking copious amounts of cannabis. 😆

Can't add years to your life surely.

So far no noticeable damage. No cough. Lung capacity still normal. Well see long term i guess. Cannabis does have anti carcinogenic properties that might negate or offset some of the damage that it might have caused ?

Better than tobacco for sure.

Short term memory ya. But for me the lazy part is the opposite. My motivation is far less. I felt more energized before. now I feel lethargic.

That is old age. Take b vitamins, creatine, salt, potassium. Thailand soy milk is very good. They add in vitamins and coconut water has high potassium. Gyms have creatine. If you take 10g a day your energy levels in your cells rise.

Creatine

Phosphagen System

Immediate "recharge" of ATP for 5–10 second bursts.

L-Carnitine

Lipid Metabolism

Increases fat burning to sustain energy over longer durations.

Sodium

Co-Transport

Drives the creatine and carnitine into the cells via ion gradients.

Potassium

Electrical Stability

Maintains the "cellular charge" so muscles fire without cramping.

Might have to try some of those. I take protein and electrolytes daily now. 50 this year so its all uphill from here.

Read up on the ATP energy system, creatine and sodium on AI. Explains the mechanism.

I think smoking cannabis causes lung / cardiovascular issues.

But I won't get into it again ... look it up. May be best to stick with gummies or whatever other forms they're peddling.

Just met a Thai girl who runs a cannabis shop. Business is struggling to survive.

I guess ill see in the future but as it stands I currently have no lung or cardio issues.

I didn't like edibles so much....but people liked mine 😆

Have you found Jesus yet?

Reminds me of a skit from some Cheech and Chong movie.

I used to be all messed up on drugs. Now I'm all messed up on the Lord.

My girlfriend often screams God oh god when I speak in tongues.

Old age is a bitch. Try to keep my waist below 40". Lost height, used to be 178cm, now I'm 176. Test myself weekly by walking up 4 filghts of stairs. Sarcopenia doesn't seem to be a problem at the moment; measurements, apart from the waistline, are pretty stable.

Thats not a minor issue. That's a big deal.

If you live in a condo building, try to buy/rent on the 2nd/3rd/4th floor and avoid the elevator. This will force you to climb stairs a few times a day. You are activating and stimulating leg muscles at least a couple of times a day (unless you stay indoors all day, which you shouldn't). Multiply this by 2 decades and this adds up to a lot of muscle stimulation.

Without needing structured gym time, which most people are too lazy to follow.

Not the 15th floor though because you will never use the stairs.

Stairs in Thailand are narrow and poorly designed. Also if you are older might have bad knees. Gyms are great. Pick a quiet gym. Also more social.

Yeah, so if you have bad knees what do you think you will accomplish in a gym? Most people will never go to a gym. It's too much PAIN.

My stairs are fine.

If you can't climb stairs, you're one step away from a walking stick.

My stairs are fine.

If your knees have taken a beating over the years from overuse, the best exercises are leg curls and leg extensions, very slowly, just enough weight to put a load on them without damage, to keep the quads strong to support the knee. Stairs are good also, as long as it's not too many at one time, which has one getting tired, going off kilter and having the wrong angles hit the knee. Walking is also good, as it's body weight .

I just train upper body. Most exercises can be done sitting. Train back, chest, arms and shoulders. Use cables which are joint friendly. Warm up with a light weight then do 3 to 4 sets for 10 to 15 reps. I find it fun. Not painful.

If a gym is within 1km walk there and back. That is your leg exercise.

If you live near the beach, walk to beach and tie bands around a tree. Can do all the same exercises. AthleanX has videos on bands. Then go for a swim. Then walk home.

I am trying to avoid the gym. It didn't work for me. I am experimenting with simple exercises that don't require a gym.

those leg extension machines might be bad for the knees, but not sure.

Leg training sucks! Hard to walk after. I never do it. Big legs look silly anyway. Google prime Tom Platz. He was the squat king.

You can do against a table pushups but it is better to have machines or bands or dumbells to train whole upper body.
