Catona is 59 years old. Weighs 85kgs. A 25yo linebacker would kill him. A small muay thai guy would bash him. Soccer players are the weakest of all football codes.

You could beat them you said, and now you telling me you are 25 and alinebacker? 80kg linebacker ?

I agree, Im 57, and most 25 years old rugby or a muay thai guy guy would smash me, but a light weighter and no kicking I would maybe make a bet on myself. Still it would had been like Tommy Fury and Eddie Hall, and my bet is on Tommy. I also think I have boxed more than Eddie have done in his whole life as well, so

But never say never, life is full of surprises

I could beat most 59yos in a fight. That would exclude ex pro fighters or very strong guys like Eddie Hall.

Most here would blame hitting their thumb with the hammer while doing DIY on Trump. That Im afraid is the symptoms of it. Very nasty indeed. Best wishes in the healing process fellas.

You're projecting, dude.

It's the people who are ignoring and excusing the evil actions, gross incompetence, corruption levels never seen before by a president and his crime family in American history, permanent damage to soft power aspects of the previously respected American brand, and yes quite obviously severe frontal lobal dementia, that have that so called disease.

Okay, I know nothing about you, and I am not inviting you for a dance. I know my own background, what I was capable of, and I am also very aware of where I am now. I am not interested in fighting anyone, and I have nothing to prove either.

But that kind of thing usually comes with someone’s personality. Bragging on forums and social media is one thing, but real life is usually something else.

Eddie Hall has trained mma for over 12 months and got trained by the UFC heavyweight champ. He also deadlifted 500kgs. In an mma fight he would crush me and I expect you. A boxing match would be different as weight can be a burden.

So you do not get it ?

Yeah thats where you want all the matches, a narco state and an infrastructure nightmare.

So tell me about Cambodia, no drugs, no corruption, no crimes, and great infrastructure ? Got it

I was talking about Tommy Fury, not me, I would never box a Man like Eddie, there is nothing to prove either, not even in my prime, stupid, and dangerous.

In my prime I was 78kg max weight,

Hall's boxing is not great. Proper boxers would beat him provided they are over 80kgs.

Fundora vs Hall be interesting. Tall skinny guy vs 160kgs strongman.

I like these freak fights.

Ruining the World Cup is the least of Trump's sins; moving closer to destroying the planet and increasing the misery of billions of people are more serious sins.

And American ''football'' is more exciting?

Tbf I don't think that much blame can be laid at Trump's feet for this forthcoming disaster; Gianni Infantino and FIFA have managed that all by themselves.

And to think that I thought that anyone would be an improvement on Sepp Blaster. I definitely got that one wrong.

Totally agree with you Ray, FIFA have screwed football for years, they don’t need any help from Trump. Increased revenue b y ripping off true fans will just line their pockets.

Wonder how many tickets they give away to their mates…………

Well what can you say about American football where they actually throw the ball?

Then they crown themselves world champions being the only country that contests it.

The pads protect them from the helmets. No rugby player weighs 160kgs.

It's often said by people that everything Trump touches turns to the brown stuff.

So this shouldn't be any surprise.

Too bad it's way too late to take the USA out of the shared hosting role.

Trump and FIFA Have Already Broken the 2026 World Cup

Travel bans, ICE fears, and astronomical costs are ruining the tournament before it begins—not that Trump or Gianni Infantino care.

Take a random moment from Trump’s second term—his inauguration, a state visit to the Middle East, a meeting of the preposterous “Board of Peace,” even just a random day when cameras are allowed into the Oval Office—and there is a decent chance that Gianni Infantino will be somewhere in the frame. From practically the moment Trump returned to office, the FIFA president has slavishly followed him, like an Italian golden retriever, practically everywhere.

Infantino likes to pitch himself as a partner, which to some extent he is: Beginning in June, he and Trump will put on the 2026 World Cup, the majority of which will take place in the United States. Together, the FIFA boss said when Trump was inaugurated, they will “make not only America great again, but also the entire world.” Over the last 15 months, Infantino has backed Trump as he has has gone to war with one World Cup qualifying nation (Iran), placed severe travel restrictions on several others, and threatened more or less the entire world, including World Cup co-hosts Mexico and Canada. In October, Infantino donned a red MAGA hat and pledged FIFA money to Trump’s offensive Gaza redevelopment plan; two months later, he handed him the inaugural “FIFA Peace Prize,” which may be the most ridiculous prize in human history. Infantino has even started to talk like Trump: The World Cup, he said shortly before handing Trump the gilded FIFA Peace Prize in December, is “simply the greatest event that humanity, that mankind, has ever seen and will ever see.”

Ever wonder what that announcement was about that the US now will require all visa applicants to set their social media accounts to "public." If a visiting foreigner has been found to say anything negative about Israel - no visa for them. That should eliminate about 75% of the people planning on attending World Cup matches in the US. What do you expect from a pasty-white, Ethno-supremacist sorta guy like Donald J Trump.

It is all the fools who rush to the stadiums and pay exorbitant high prices for football matches who are ruining the sport in general and all the big sponsor money going to the players who make more with Nike or Qatar then with winning a football match left to itself per se.

I miss the days of the three dollar ticket in the nose bleed section at pro baseball games.

The rest of the world apparently. Hilarious a s***o saying real football is boring, and yet you have that joke of a knock off of rugby that practically NOBODY else in the world is bothered about. 🤣

I’m with the general sentiment. Just have it in Canada and Mexico or cancel altogether. It’ll be a damp squib and a rip off.

Just focus on your toddler 250y birthday. 🤭

What would have been an interesting discussion ruined by a syphilitica antipodae stultus. Guess not all the pick pockets went home at the end of their sentence.

The most famous goal?

I suggest that you watch Maradona's second goal in the same match. It broke my heart, but as the great English football commentator, Barry Davies, said at the time, "You have to say that is brilliant".

There's no question that between the blocking of the Strait, the dramatic escalation in jet fuel prices, the economic difficulties that so many nations face right now, so much uncertainty and instability caused by Trump and his anti-immigrant stance as as it relates to tourism and non white people, will greatly diminish the event, that is being held in Los Angeles. In general tourism is way down for America, for many good reasons. Don is a human disaster and a walking wrecking ball. Nothing he does anymore is productive, and everything he does at this point is ruinous, decapacitating and destructive.

He needs to go, he needs to be removed or locked up, and the sooner the better. A mental institution would be ideal.

Though there is some truth to that, though that can be applied toward every sport and that can also be applied to the music industry when it comes to concerts. The kind of money that people pay these days for tickets is absolutely insane.

The last baseball game I went to was late in the season for the Los Angeles Dodgers about 10 years ago, and our seats were in the loge section in the outfield and they cost $250 each. My friend's regularly pay $300 or $400 for a marginal seats at concerts with acts that are not big names. I have friends that pay thousands of dollars for a seat at an NBA game and they don't think that's overpriced.

And the scariest part is that inflation is so high in America the past few years, that they don't even think that those prices are expensive. Never again for me.
