Will Ai replace Youtubers

I suppose nobody finds it amusing how people throughout history have railed against new technologies.

Factories were supposed to be the end of the working class.

Automated Teller Machines (ATMs) predicted the death of the bank teller.

My favorite is the humble alarm clock, which ended the livelihood off the "knocker upper" , who woke people up for work by tapping their bedroom windows with a long stick.

Of course AI will replace some jobs but human creativity will never be replaced.

But most jobs don't need much creativity. AI has many jobs covered already. Having worked in an office for decades I can't see that the same people could be hired to do some other creative thing - they won't be needed.

One possibility is that there would be more customer service - but look at that too - AI has it fairly well covered.

The latest robots are so agile too.

Think of the difference between a machine that spits out money that can do the job of a few - and still requires significant staff to operate it - and a machine that can literally run and operate aspects of banking done by 100's or 1000's of staff and still need only a relative few to make it happen. See what happens.

Yes AI will replace YouTubers and influencers, way smarter than them and better looking, even porn will be better soon

No, youtubers might be one of the professions that survives the AI apocalypse. Youtubers who connect with their audience will do well. People want to watch real human beings. Robots do not lead norma

Humans eat food then poo it out

I have to admit, that might be the most poetic thing you ever said

Otherwise, the YouTuber needs to have a real position, profession, or experience that actually gives them something worth contributing.

The expectations created by some YouTubers can easily ruin the experience.

Both these are characteristics of YTube that keep me from being a real fan of it.

I am definitely a lifetime learner and that determines what I seek on YTube. Thankfully there is a lot of educational material available on YTube. However, I find the YTube algorithm's suggestions more of a hindrance than a help. I think I'll just subscribe to and bookmark the best and ignore the 'suggestions'.

AI is generally very succinct in the responses it returns. I would have to wade through so many YTubes to match the quantity and quality of details that I get from AI. I can absorb so much greater detail from reading than from watching. I never go to YTube without having used AI first. Often the AI response does include a YTube as a source with varying success.

True, but one day we will get it right!

What do you think about the Fermi paradox?

Where are the aliens?

AI is based on already shared knowledge, like guide books and what youtubers post — what is happening to AI when it kills them — hmm, perhaps we in "a shape of things to come" shall se AI-robots walking around collecting information for AI's replacement of guide books, and AI-robots that makes smartphone recordings with selfies to replace the Youtubers...whistling

The Good Old Days !

I don't see the point of watching or reading AI generated content.

I can generate my own AI content if I want some information or a specific image or video for work.

I'm a human and I'm interested in the views of other humans. As soon as I realise some content is AI generated I stop watching/reading and block.

You can see the anti AI backlash on sites such as Flickr where Groups do not allow "AI slop". There's also the new features on Instagram and more to filter out AI from your algorithm feed.

As for porn, (I'm told 😀) there's increased demand for reality, and I don't think AI, however realistic looking, will replace real content.

Most Redditt sub groups actively hate it and push back aggresivelly to anyone that uses it. Redditt is prospering in the human content era which in turn makes it more valuable. A lot of folks are rebelling against AI slop as content - it was great when it started and it certainly as a tool has its role but contained and constrained otherwise it's just bot argiong with bots and what's the pont ?
