Egypt, Jordan, UAE and Bahrain recognise Israel though Israel trades with the others. Israel blew it with Saudi, not the Palestinians.

Talks with Saudi happened in 2023 and the Israelis blew them off after the Hamas debacle. Better to strike back than make new friends and stabilise the region.

I think it must be said that Israel has turn many Palestinians pro-Hamas. Why should they suffer homelessness, starvation, no education or medical care, be attacked by the IDF every day for no reason?

Palestinians did not elect Hamas as militant insurgents but as politicians who concealed their true aims. This is true of Hezbollah political leaders in Lebanon, too. Nothing wrong with that leadership as long as they don't attack Israel.

I doubt the Iran deal will make any difference. It's likely Iran will still fund militant Hezbollah. That idiot should have written that in as a major condition.

There was no other reason .

Oct 6 th and talks were well under way and signings were in sight

Oct 7 th war came and Israel responded and Saudi backed out of any deal and reverted to hostilities with Israel .

Iran's frozen funds total approximately $20 to 23 billion.

The 300 billion being thrown around is a proposed fund. Trump made a statement that the USA would not be contributing to that. Reporting says funds will probably come from the Gulf states. But that part is from a Trump statement, not from within the MOU, so consider the source.
