Miserable expats

But how do you know anyone is miserable unless they actually tell you?

It's a no brainier

As said above.....

Body language and facial expressions tell you more than words. He has over 20 years experience. I see miserable guys in CM, Hua Hin and Udon. Around 2/3 have negative body language.

Yes, exactly what you have described.

Also, I see lots of road rage, look around, next time you are on the road, an aggressive blast of the horn or a person screaming in rage at another driver. It's a bloody miserable foreig ner.

In CM i visit different parts of the city. In the farang areas it is more seedy and down vibes. In Hua Hin central is farang area and guys sitting around grim looks on faces. One time in Bangkok I was walking along some creepy farang abused me from a motorbike. In Nong Khai you see all these old miserable farangs along the waterfront near the temple.

I think one should be allowed to comment on the weather, traffic, and anything else one wishes to comment on and not be considered 'miserable'. I have a great life here in Pattaya. Spouse and I are just moving into a new pool villa we built, my health is good for my age, and I have enough money, family, friends, and interests to keep me happy and busy. I am far from miserable but that doesn't stop me from complaining about this or that.

As for those who truly are miserable, I suspect they would be miserable wherever they find themselves. As I said before on perhaps a somewhat similar thread, it's the person, not the place.

I see locals doing things the majority of the time here, both when I visited the beaches and in cities around Thailand. Yes, I do see some foreigners acting strange, and have met a few, but it's a tiny fraction of what I've noticed living here. Someone walking around frowning might mean they're having a bad day, and could be happy most of the time.

I have seen locals and foreigners road raging, but not many times. Foreigners are more likely to use their horns and yell, both here and back home, and locals are more likely to cause the problems here in the first place that has foreigners responding.

If what you're seeing is mostly or all in Pattaya, then it's mostly tourists and some expats living there, and that's a tiny amount of the expats living in Thailand. Tourists are the ones causing problems here, and expats aren't, and expats aren't all miserable and low on funds.

I have seen foreigners in Isaan that will look away when you look at them, but it's a very small amount. Most will greet you and smile, as the one did when my daughter and i went to a restaurant 2 days ago. Hey mate, how are you, was his opening line.

Everyone's miserable to those who don't know how to interact with other foreigners, and has vibes that show they don't want to be bothered by him. That's my point.

Edit: As I mentioned, here comes the other troll, with the same style as that's all he's capable of. Cheats on his supposed 11 year relationship, and has his "women" paying his way, then thinks all others are paying for their women. Doesn't understand the difference between providing and buying, which is likely his reality. Besides those of course that haven't yet figured him out.

Cue the same cut and paste replies, thinking others are agreeing with him besides the trolls.Watch when he switches his attention from me to others, exactly the same way.

I'm glad that you mentioned this, as I wanted to ask.... since you have been writing about leaving Thailand for years now, when exactly is that going to take place?

Second question: How much does your 'normal girlfriend' cost you per month on average, including any help/salary? I want to know if I can afford one of those.

He said he was leaving next year back in 2021.

You do realise that you are a crashing bore, don't you? 😊 Most people here are having a laugh. A bit of banter. Whereas you....

You just don't get it.

Speaking of envious, miserable expats... 😊

"Cheating", you have fabricated in your mind. "Paying his way", you have fabricated in your mind.

You paying for your woman is the truth. Providing/buying, in your case, is exactly the same thing.

You would not have a girlfriend if you did not 'provide' for her. Ergo, you have bought yourself a relationship.

A real relationship, is not based on money. I don't pay my partner a salary.

Why not answer the question? How much do you pay on a monthly basis? Stop deflecting. It's obvious.

How do you meet farangs in a village?

Say hello. It’s remarkable how many farangs are so disconnected from social activity that they are shocked by getting a hello from another farang.

The guy is full of it.

At least he lives in Thailand. Something you have never done or experienced. Being a low budget traveller by no means makes you an expert.

I'm able to avoid miserable 'farang' because .... I mostly avoid all farang! The only time that I speak and socialise with them is once a week at the Burmese community get-together at the local temple on a Sunday. There are a few foreigners like me who help out, but apart from that I studiously avoid all others - makes for a more peaceful, stress-free life :)

I have never seen a farang within 20km of my gf's farm. No farangs to talk to. The nearest town is 20kms away. Seen only a few farangs there.

And I've told nothing but the truth while he'll never answer any questions thrown his way. See how I was spot on about the other troll? Assumptions being their only game, as they haven't any life to speak of. No one in their right minds comes to an online forum to turn what others say around to make themselves feel better but miserable women users who are jealous they cannot act that way themselves.

Almost every reply an assumption, which is a mental illness in itself. One thinks everyone here buys their women but him, and the other looks at women as dogs, and they think they can actually keep pace with normal men who take care of who they're with. . Don Juan persona with the same weak mind, and actually thinks we believe his lies about women paying his way. Sorry little boy who will eventually run out of BS, and couldn't find a normal woman outside of Thailand so is here to use. Here will follow the same lines they've used in all other usernames (personalities).

This is really weird and alarming.

Same here, I've been abused without provocation a few times, always by foreigners

You lie all the time. Claimed your burnt cds are worth 500k when it is illegal to sell them.

You are so correct Marin, RockyRoad has never ever been to Thaialnd, all the idiots info is copied from Chat GPT. He is a clown .

You just go to Soi 6 cause you can't get a gf. Too ugly.

There’s a couple other farangs living within a few km’s of our place in lampang and run into them every now and then at a local shop, say hi and they don’t know what to do with it and cower back with a “leave me alone vibe”, frik’n weird. So 66% of the farangs there are antisocial misfits and probably only mumble to their spouse. Apparently one is Norwegian and the other Australian says the wife. English speaking farangs in cm are typically quite friendly for the most part, say hi and it’s reciprocated and every now and then my ears get nailed down by someone who is socially starved and wants to converse with another English speaker which I’m always open to.

Try to find one of their replies that isn't an assumption, insult or lies. I can imagine how they are in person, antisocial and all alone in their own little worlds.Look at how they stick up for each other against one, then degrade each other when there's no one left to abuse.

You are very antisocial. I offered to meet you for a beer or gym session. Another said he would tell the cops. You guys are weird hermits. You are all wasting your time in Thailand doing nothing.
