The perpetrator had guns, but it is not at all clear whether he actually fired them. The shots that were fired have been attributed to the Secret Service.

For the Secret Service agents, it's just a matter of organizing the "event" so the perp doesn't get killed. And if he does, "by accident", no one will care, and any investigation will be laughably cursory.

The perp wasn't even in the main ballroom; so, in some hallway or entryway, it’s highly likely he was tackled quickly.

Of the few shots that were fired by the SS, apparently ICE “agents” are either better shots than the Secret Service, are more skilled in non-lethal methods and better trained than ICE, or just less prone to commit murder.

In any event, there does not appear to be any examples of anyone involved in pedophilia in the Epstein files, much less Trump.

There are a couple of things I find interesting about the event.

Todd Blanche quite quickly circumvented clarity on a question put about who exactly shot the Secret Service Agent ?

There were multiple shots fired but the suspect suffered only a sore knee ?

The charges announced ( so far) IMO read as non specific enough to accommodate good defense if the suspect maintains intent to injure/kill unspecified individuals.

If this was a staged false flag event that would in time allow for protracted legal proceedings until the topic fades into insignificance.

If genuine the event has little more actual significance than the golf course alleged attempt . Remember that one?

Just watched last night's PBS Newshour and they had a good series of still shots of how close the gunman came to reaching the staircase, leading to an open doorway of the ballroom with direct line-of-sight to the head table. Suprised how far he got actually after running through that first line of defense -very close to the stairway. Mixed news reports about whether he fell or was tackled at that moment. But if he didn't trip or get tackled, he really could have made into the ballroom doorway. So while the authorities are saying this was a law enforcement-secret service success, I'm kinda less sure about that after seeing the PBS viewing of the hallway where he was detained and how close he was to the small stairway leading to the ballroom door. This guy was an amateur. Imagine if it was a trained assault team.
