It's the extreme Islamist ideology of the Iranian government that makes Iranians hate Israelis. Most Iranians living abroad have abandoned that ideology and hatred of Jews.

But, does this work both ways, such as...for the Israelis living abroad?

I think yes, somewhat.

Why have Thailand not released the amount of DTV issued in 2025 ?

I'd wager a bet because the public would in uproar if they learnt how much immigration has been allowed into the country. There was never any consultation with the public about this - it was sold as 'digital nomad' visa with checks and balances.

The topic is a clear news report. Because Israeli children were potentially victimized in this scam and mentioned, innocent news gives the usual suspects a chance to spew about Israelis. Other than that, its just more farangs behaving badly. If a mod hadnt have stepped in, I can only imagine where this one would have gone.

The children, no matter what their nationality, are being harmed by an inferior schooling environment that is not teaching up to the highest standards,

It does not cost much to teach up to very high standards,

It requires excellent teachers.

The mod removed my comment about moderation, nothing more. The conversation's going where it's going. Unbunch your panties now.

Who is that woman in the orange blouse, tight white slacks, and mile-long fingernails, plus the super-duper fake eyelashes which she bats a mile a minute?

And, who is the guy with the sunglasses perched on the top of his bald pate?

And, what is the significance of all those tats on the woman who just stands there, frowning, with some black ink spot at the center of her forehead?

I can tell you that this school reminds me NOTHING of the school I attened, when I was young.

The tuition at my school is about USD70-thousand, for two semesters.

They have ZERO tats among teachers, I would imagine.

And, nobody sports fake eyelashes, in the daytime anyway....

Methinks that was a very long time ago. Did you have to hide behind the bushes so the dinosaurs didn't get you?

Point is, we don't know. Could be crap, could be mediocre, could be grade A. We just don't know. All the teachers I know really have their hearts in the right place. Why would these be different?

Having the heart to teach is only half of it.

If anyone wants to teach at this elementary school, up to grade 9....then I suggest going to a good university, such as, for example...Mount Holyoke College...

After graduation, then a girl really knows how to teach, and the heart is in the right place, too.

Some of my family have attened this school, and I recommend it.

So, I would say that judging by the video attached to this Topic, the teachers just don't have the smarts.

But, I will say that I was pleased to see a Geodesic Dome at the school, and at least they are doing this right.

Buckminster Fuller would approve.

I have lost count number of Thais coming up to my complain their condo is now full of foreigners and they're being priced out, having to move further out away.

Now for a developing country you have to protect your local population. This is not a developed first world country (no matter what you see in Sukhumvit/Silom), wages are shockingly low for most of the population. This why countries like India, Thailand, and most developing nations protect their local population from outside vultures.

But in this case the DTV seems designed from the inside, to help property developers and nothing else. It is being abused to settle and live here.

There's something fishy going on there. Some kind of new age hippie cult. Sterilise all of them and deport. All of them.

This is a huge problem.

Many years ago, we saw this happen in Vancouver when the Chinese moved in and the locals moved out due to skyrocketing rent and sale prices for homes, condos, and even showboxes.

This is not good for society.

Let's keep the riff-raff out.

We should welcome poor academics from all countries, instead, preferably those interesting in East Asian Studies.

No, people are adding 2 and 2 and coming up with 5, They made an immediate assumption that if the owners were Iranians, then they must be running a madrassa to convert Israeli kids. Its a very broad assumption by you that to be Israeli is to be Jewish.

If anything, the school seems to be extremely secular, to the extent pushing new age bull<deleted>.

I suspect its a scam. No education professionals are running the place. Its run on a shoe strong, with the belief if you keep the kids busy, they are receiving an "education". You can probably get away with that up to age 5-6, but when you have kids aged up to 12 years, they actually do need to be learning stuff.

https://nomadmum.com/koh-phangan-international-kindergartens/

For a school that isn't supposed to have any kids aged over 5, this is brazen:

The school is called "Arki.kids", which is very similar sounding to Arkki, which is a Finnish system of education through teachng architecture, which also has gotten an official establishment in Thailand.. Hmm, were they misrepresenting themselves....

No I just used word Jewish because I couldn't spell Isrily. You're just smarter than me :)

Are the owners of this school Iranian Jews?

If so, that would explain a lot.

The fact that it was a big operation that must have been generating a considerable cash flow means that it just might go down the memory hole with no follow-up news like so many other similar stories.

It's an everyday requirement at Myanmar schools.... (I don't mean hiding behind bushes...)
