No blood pressure = no bruising. Blood still flows but only by pooling. There is no circulation in a corpse.

I'll still wait for the coroner's report. Was it bruising, or was it pooling because of the orientation of the body on the ground?

Watch enough Forensic File episodes and you'll realize how little we know until the experts have a look.

Plenty of time?

Under the Thai Civil and Commercial Code (Section 448), the standard statute of limitations for a wrongful death civil case is one year from the day the victim's heirs become aware of both the wrongful act and the responsible party.

That is not plenty of time to put together a wrongful death case.

If what you say is correct then it seems that a formal guilty verdict would be required before that time commences. Yes, a year is plenty of time. Can't you at least let the family grieve first?

What would help the family to grieve is compensation which is why this is usually agreed as part of the court case and sentence

Wrongful death claims can result in the assessment of civil and criminal penalties on parties that may be far removed from the negligent actor.

A wrongful death action is brought by close relatives of the decedent for damages incurred as a result of the victim's death.

.

Establishing liability requires that the plaintiff show that the defendant acted willfully, negligently, or unlawfully, resulting in the death of the victim.

Wrongful death claim would be for funeral expenses ?

That is a different issue.

A civil claim for negligence can have no bearing on the criminal charge and it would not be against the individual. And I'm not going to post the same thing every time one you guys has some other opinion or whatabout.

Why are you getting so angry, Brits do bad things to.

This article, from @Georgealbert says born Brit.

It has now emerged that Carman is British-born and now runs a fuel delivery service in Australia where he has a lengthy history with police.

A number of Uk and Australian media have stated that he was of British birth, but the above article states he was born in Australia.

Which is correct has little relevance, when you consider the crime he committed.

In the below article, the father is calling for the death penalty. It could be a compensation negotiating tactic, but if not, why would someone facing the death penalty pay one single baht?

Also, turns out he is a truck driver from Western Australia. Not a high paying job, unless driving trucks in the mines.

Watch the 9News clip. The reporter says he's a truck driver. Whilst you don't believe everything on the internet, I can only post on what the news article says.

I am very surprised how this has made front page news here

An Aussie killing a sex worker in Thailand usually doesnt get mentioned

Ive also had friends in different countries mention it being reported in their country as well

“The young girl did have an ID card that said she was 22, all of the girls here have ID cards that say they are older, because if they’re underage, you’re in trouble,” a source told the outlet

If true, the accusation of knowingly killing an under-age might go out the window

Murder is murder, regardless of the age, gender and occupation of the victim.

Acknowledging that simple fact alone should have made this tread about 6 pages shorter.

Highly improbable, but imagine if a couple of guys come forward in the next week or so, after reading this news and seeing her photo, and tell the police they recently picked her up off Beach Road and she pulled a knife back in the room, so they just gave her whatever was left in their wallet and she left.

Obviously, something happened back in the room. What's wrong with considering all possibilities?

Yes, highly improbable.

Crack on anyway.

They stated that he was a truck driver, in the sense that it was in the past.

Killed over 500 baht. 2 lives ruined. Sad story.

I don't care at all about this perverted murderer's life. There is no sadness about him. There is just evil malice that deserves extinguishing.

Then they pop down to security as she is leaving and gets them to involve the police. Or do you surmise that they would be so afraid to report it to anyone?

The man appears to be a brain damaged simpleton.
