“The young girl did have an ID card that said she was 22, all of the girls here have ID cards that say they are older, because if they’re underage, you’re in trouble,” a source told the outlet

If true, the accusation of knowingly killing an under-age might go out the window

That part is fake news, you see in the video both go straight past the security, no ID checks (unless there are 2 security desks)

I am very surprised how this has made front page news here

An Aussie killing a sex worker in Thailand usually doesnt get mentioned

Ive also had friends in different countries mention it being reported in their country as well

It's also surprising I see on Tik Tok loads of Aussie women discussing this topic.

It's a condominium building, not hotel.

No ID checks on entry

Not Rimhad, it's a dump.

I don't know of any condos that check birds ID in the middle of the night.

The juristic hours are 9 to 5pm

Yep, those Aussie woman hate us guys living in Thailand.

Aussie Men are not allowed to live a happy life.

This dudejust became famous because CNN, the infamous NY Post and many local US TV stations have mentioned this story. I don't know the unwritten rules in a Thai jail or prison but in other parts of the world this type of suspect is kept in isolation because even criminals have some honor. For instance they hate men sexually assault women and especially those who assault and kill children. The victim was only 17 and looked like she weighed under 45 kgs. She was a child from a poor family just trying to make a little money. This dude even implied it was self defense. In my old neighborhood we call that "BS". He had scratches on his upper arms and I suspect the victim was doing her best to fight him off.

From page 13 this topic:

It seems many, if not most, hotels and condos in Pattaya have a written policy that Thai late night visitors leave an ID. This is I'll guess largely seen as a nuisance and security just waves them through no ID provided.

But that can be a legitimate legal matter if the Thai person ends up dead.

Most likely, there was an argument over the services that they agreed upon and it got out of hand, he snapped and beat her to death. It would be hard to imagine any realistic sort of need for self-defense from such a man towards a small girl. I would also say it's very unlikely she threathened him with a knife for some reason. The rest might actually be sort of true; the 1000 baht, she having her period and wanting 500 baht for compensation. On the other hand, it is also very unlikely that she was just on some first-time holiday with her friend in Pattaya, as the parents say.

What I find most shocking from his perspective, is that he was actually dumb enough to think he could get away with killing her and hiding her body in a country with so much CCTV. Apparently he actually waited a day and a half before trying to board a flight to Australia. Not sure what would have happened to him if had reached Australia. I don't think he'll get the death penalty, but he's looking at serious time now. Better for the world he's locked up!

You'll find security fast asleep night time on duty.

Searched one night, I wanted this person removed, security could not be found.

Apparently they do check IDs there, but it's up to the person taking the girl back

Foreigner murders are rare so they do get reported. Fights no.

Yes, apparently at Rimhad, it's optional

His lies to date were obvious lies, he's too stupid to pull it off, watch the video and check his eyes, full of BS that man

A friend knew the aussie killer, said he new he was off the day he met him, reckons he's done it before

Curious to know what got the ball rolling in looking for the accused.

Did the security guard notice he left and never returned; but the girl never came out?

It's obvious, the guy is a psycho.

Poor girl, met the wrong guy.

Well, the way he went about it doesn't show a high degree of experience or intelligence. I say maybe he was "off" but he hadn't quite done anything like this.

Not siding with him, but you would have thought that he would hv rented to room for another month , just to give himself time to escape

i reckon it was her friend, they probably talked on the phone as it was kicking off

Well from the moment he walked off with her on the beach, he could have known that they would trace him down quite easily after she was reported missing. From his perspective, the only course of action would have been to drive to BKK immediately and board the first available flight out of the country. Instead, he thought he could dump the body unseen in the middle of Pattaya and then waited another whole day to get out. Not what you call a cold-blooded killer. He seems to be as slow as they describe him to be.

Post on here said British born.

In any case, he could still have both UK and Australian passports.

It has been published many times that it was her 19 year old male friend, as he was with her at the beach at the time of pickup and likely the one who filmed them walking away. He may have called her parents to assist in filing a report, but he was the one 'on the ground' so to speak.

He's a Brit. Not an Aussie. He might have done it before.

There is a description of a previous head wound at the back of his head. One might surmise there was an accident/incident and/or operation, that would have an effect on his speech and thought process.

The guy was renting a private condo since several years probably. I've personally never been to a condo like that where they would check your ID, especially if you come in with a resident. Usually, there is some fingerprint recognition or code for the elevator to go up to the actual apartments.

Hope he gets the death penalty.
