It's only weak people that take ganga...Ever realize how many are addicted to the painkillers they are prescribed, and the side effects they can have? It isn't weak to want to catch a buzz, it being the same as the millions who like it from alcohol. When it becomes a problem, an addiction, is when it causes trouble for the user and those around them. Yes, it can lead to harder drugs, which is why some should never touch any drugs, including alcohol.

Deflecting or what?

Strong weed, readily available these days, can make some go haywire, but again, it's usually a hidden personality trait that has them going off. Millions use weed without any problems, let alone violent ones.Yaba , Meth is another story, as it can make anyone hyped up and especially those prone to violence.People that smoke weed aren't junkies. That term is attached to those hooked on more powerful, more addictive drugs like Heroin, Morphine, Meth or Cocaine, especially Crack.Thailand attracts people mostly for the girls, and that will bring out all kinds from all over. A sex capital can have bad results when off kilter people are coming, and it's not about drugs as much but drinking and women.Well this being Thailand, it's no wonder that the figure for Thais is going to a lot higher albeit I doubt 99% unless you have proof of that? No you are wrong, a very large percentage of "tourists" come for weed, freedom, running away from crime or police and basically acting the gangsta

Those kind of people take weed to calm themselves down. But with the way their minds work, after a while it doesn't appear to work for them any more.

I went to a shop and asked for an "old school, very mild strain." It kicked my a$$! I can only imagine how much today's strong blends can affect the mind, especially if frequently used as this story indicates.

You could see the anger in his eyes while swaying about. What this stuff does to the brain no one knows. Just like the guy that was stabbed...manager of a weed farm, probably no regulation as to its strength. A shame, yet another young life lost for what.
July 3Jul 3 I lived and worked in Bangers for a few years and have been travelling through Thailand since the late 90s and most recently a stint in Isan, so I feel I know a tiny little bit of this place. Is Pattaya particularly dangerous? Is there an undercurrent murky vibe? Why does it seem there's always a bad thing occurring there? How do the crime numbers stack up against other parts of Thailand and the world?

The brain is not fully formed until around 25. So smoking copious amounts of pot before 25 has been shown to be especially high risk. This girl was only 20 and we don't know how long she has been smoking. So it is likely.

July 3Jul 3 "People that smoke weed aren't junkies...."Lol, keep kidding yourself........They are weak-minded people who are unable to cope with the ups and downs of life without resorting to a 'crutch'. Same as alcoholics.. "I can stop if I want blah blah blah...". Yea, tell me another one!!
July 3Jul 3 Pattaya. Thailand's epicenter of trouble, balcony falls, mysterious deaths and ladyboys robberies. No thanks.

July 3Jul 3 I suspect a lot more to come on this story. Meantime I hope their dog is being well cared for.
July 3Jul 3 The amount of utter rubbish posted here is shocking. These are supposed to be the older and wiser? 😊 Please tell me that someone who claims to be a scientist no less, isn't proposing that a usually normal thinking girl, smoked lots of weed over time and then went about stabbing her partner around the house until he died, dragged the body to the bathroom, washed the knife, didn't answer the phone nor call the police and then claimed that her partner did it to himself, because of the aforementioned weed smoking? It's so ridiculous, that it makes clear why some have been turned over, time and time again.I've met this kind of woman. They are already on anti-depressants and other types on drugs. They have a mental disorder. It's not caused by weed. Don't be so gullible and stupid.

Normally I am your sweet 20-year old girl you would love to have as your next door neighbor.I can honestly state that I have met a few of this type. In fact I was in conversation with one recently. They have often already been diagnosed and may be on or off their prescribed medication or self medicating with visits to local pharmacies. They know they have issues and they understand that without their medication, they can really 'lose it'.Cannabis is likely not the cause, neither did it exacerbate the situation. She likely smoked in order to calm down, perhaps after what she did. The problem, is the way that she thinks. Blaming drugs is sheer ignorance. Look at the person.

Maybe more scientific studies are needed. But that would be bad news for weed smokers. Because it ruins your narrative that it's a completely harmless drug.
