Now I can go back to watching dancing inmates!

Hmm, that didn't last long, just got blocked again... :o

This whole issue is being discussed on some other forums. CM people are getting it, Bangkok people blocked, and most of country not reporting yet. Basically, it's still blocked most places.

Not working here at San Kanphaeng. I am guessing it was dropped out by mistake and retified as soon as they realised. Is too good to be true that they would allow Youtube when the original offending material is still there.

I get the nifty "Police Aleart" (sic) screen.

Working for me in Bangkok (as I speak / write) - Sanam Luang area.

& it's a very strange video... (amazing Thailand)

I just checked - Ministry of Education "special" connection. Sorry, I didn't realise.

It seems to be working via 'Inet'. I also suspect it's working for Tot. ISPs that definitely still seem to be blocking are TTTMax and Asianet (True). If you have a laptop you can check the following places: Kona's, Baiporn, Charcoa, Peppermint, CM Saloon - according to my logs (ok don't ask :o ) they're connected via one of the former two ISPs.

Not for me! I'm on TT&T Max and it loads ok............

no, I have TT&T Maxnet in San Kamphaeng and its working here. Thriller was a good clip with the inmates! :o

It's working via Maxnet in Chiang Rai.

On the whole the block is not consistent and hasn't been since they started blocking it. Some people get it some of the time. For me on CAT it's been blocked consistently though.

TTTMax came onboard later in the day. I think even Asianet are okay now.

Anybody can't get Youtube now? Lox maybe? CAT was mentioned?

BTW it doesn't matter which locality you're in.

Well it's now official, but just how they are going to be selective, remains to be seen.....

YouTube returns to Thailand

(BangkokPost today) The Thai government lifted the ban on the YouTube website after the owner, Google agreed to block video clips that break Thai laws or are deemed offensive to Thai people.

YouTube has been blocked in Thailand since April 3rd of this year when a person from the United States using the pseudonym "Paddidda", posted material which was insulting to the Thai monarchy.

Thailand’s Ministry of Information said YouTube has created a program that would block sensitive video clips from being accessed by Thai Internet service providers.
