CCTV shows suspects in Russian siblings' disappearance

IMG_8716.png

Police in Chonburi are seeking two men known as Pong and Thong for questioning over the disappearance of Russian siblings Diana Nazimova, 22, and Roman Nazimova, 17. The pair have been missing since the early hours of 26 July 2026.

CCTV footage shows the two men riding a red Honda Scoopy motorcycle on Highway 1008, the Chak Ngaeo-Wat Yansangwararam route, on 26 July. They were travelling towards Chak Ngaeo, police said.

Investigators believe they had earlier gone to the home of Thong's sister to wash and change clothes, before returning towards Moo 9, Huay Yai sub-district, Bang Lamung district, Chonburi, where they lived.

Police have asked Pong and Thong to come forward to provide information and clarify the facts of the case. Neither man has yet met investigators.

Search continues

Officials and local residents have continued searching the area but have not found either Diana or Roman.

On 30 July, authorities established a search command centre near the Huai Tang junction beneath Motorway 7 before launching a large-scale search operation. Eight K9 search units from Bangkok were deployed, police dog teams, special operations search dogs, United SAR search and rescue dogs, and volunteer civilian K9 rescue teams.

More than 200 rescue personnel and volunteers are taking part in the operation, using motorcycles and conducting extensive ground searches across three key locations: an old cemetery in Huay Yai, an abandoned house on the route towards Viharn Sien and Khao Chi Chan, and the reservoir, behind Wat Yan Sangwararam.

Investigators say technical analysis has revealed that the GPS signal from one of the missing siblings’ mobile phones was lost shortly before reaching the abandoned house and the reservoir area. These locations have therefore become priority search sites.

However, authorities have not yet determined whether the phone was switched off, its battery ran flat, or it was deliberately destroyed. Further forensic analysis is underway.

Relative urges Pong to surrender

On the night of 29 July, reporters spoke to Rat, 74, the maternal aunt of Thana Kerdthong, 43, known as Pong. Her home is about 500 metres from where the siblings' motorcycle was found.

Rat said Pong had been released from prison less than two months earlier and had visited her only three or four times. She said she last saw him at about 9pm on 27 July, when he was helping repair lights at her home.

According to Rat, Pong received a telephone call, then said he had to go to Chanthaburi because his child was ill before leaving immediately. She believes he may have fled to Chanthaburi.

Rat described her nephew as troublesome and violent, saying he had been badly abused by his father as a child. She appealed for him to surrender.

Police have also questioned Thong's wife, who said she had not seen her husband since 27 July. At least five residents told officers they heard a man calling for help in the area on 29 July.

Police are checking the reports and have not ruled out the possibility that Thong may have been killed to silence him.

Anyone who sees either man, or the red Honda Scoopy shown in the CCTV footage, is asked to call police on 191, available 24 hours a day.

So you add to the speculation that you're complaining about!

That is weird.

Why not just dump the bike in a river.

My original comment, although meant as a "joke" ... was in poor taste considering the horror of this event.

Why? What's your basis for that?

Agree. This will most definitely not have a happy ending. IMHO far too young to die for picking up mushrooms at 4 am regardless of it being a drug or loan related matter. Sympathies to the parents.

Where was it reported that they were "picking up mushrooms"? The report was that they were believed to be going to a convenience store.

Sadly, this will not end well and these young people have been missing too long with no ransom demand or anything. Also, you don't bury a motorbike in two places ripped apart if you are not trying to cover something serious up. Lastly, some local guy said he heard gunshots a few days ago near the cemetry, but the reports are unclear as to whether or why he didn't report it to the police.

The outcome looks dark, but they'll find the two Thai men they are looking for eventually, then they will turn on each other and the truth will out. Clearly there is much more to this whole episode than is being revealed thus far.

The more information we see the more bizarre the case appears to be

For example wat made the police search a random secluded hidden area and dig up and then find parts of the missing bike?

It really is a strange case but sadly like many other contributors here, I suspect the 2 young children will not be found safe and well

We shall have to wait and see- at present the piecemeal information disclosed thus far makes speculation in my humble opinion of no real value

All we can do is guess at this point since we have very little on the way of facts. It's a truly sorry thing to see somebody get so bent out of shape and offended over a mere opinion. I suggest taking a deep breath, maybe getting some exercise, and perhaps treating yourself through to a nice meal or a good bottle of wine.

Your ego is easily bruised and this is why you feel like you have to use one of your others to get back.

Not so sure--do Russians grieve like others ? Hell there are russian soldiers lying dead all over Urkrainian battlefields and no one knows or gives a rats arse about them !!!!!

Driving miles away at 4am to go to a convenience store is unbelievable, since there are 7-11's nearby. As I wrote before, the family and siblings background and acquaintances should be investigated. The mother probably knows much more. Their communications should be analyzed with the companies managing their mobile traffic.

Most murders are committed by people who know the victims, as you said friends, family or business associates.

Maybe they paid someone off the boy wouldn't have to go to Drone Pilot School, but they couldn't come up with the money or else.

They may have experienced the Or Else.

Pattaya police question two in Russian siblings case

IMG_8745.png

Pattaya Tourist Police and Chonburi Immigration officers have taken two men for questioning over the disappearance of Russian siblings Diana Nazimova, 22, and Roman Nazimova, 17.

The men, known only as "Sua Hoy" and "Phang", deny knowing anything about the case or about two other suspects, "Pong" and "Thong", who remain at large.

Police investigate suspected escape help

At 1.05pm on 30 July, a team led by Pattaya Tourist Police superintendent Pol Lt Col Prapada Suksuntree and Immigration Division 3 investigator Pol Lt Col Thongthai Phairoh searched the homes of Sua Hoy and Phang.

The team also included Pol Capt Atsada Jarusombat and Pol Capt Apisit Phuengyaem, along with Pattaya tourist police investigators and Chonburi immigration officers.

IMG_8743.png

Police suspect the two men may have helped Pong and Thong evade a cordon involving more than 200 officers during the previous night. The fugitives were allegedly taken from the area on a motorcycle with a sidecar and concealed beneath a tarpaulin.

Investigators also suspect Sua Hoy and Phang may have helped Pong and Thong dig the hole used to bury the Russian siblings' motorcycle parts. Police said local residents had provided information which led officers to widen their investigation.

Officers initially searched shelters in the Map Fak Thong area but did not find Sua Hoy. They later found him riding a sidecar motorcycle after he left his mother's home, then took him for questioning. He subsequently led officers to Phang's home, where Phang was also taken in for questioning.

I believe i read in yesterdays report that people were seen entering the forest with spades and a call was made to police. When police arrived, the group fled.

We're just back to how the parents let them head out at 4AM, unless they were in on it.

I don't know how the parents got them to get up at that hour.

Impressed 👍

if you guys have teenagers or remember when you were 18-21y old, but I didn't wake up at 4am, 555.

Two teenagers voluntarily getting up in the dark at o dark thirty in order to meet someone...?

Suspicious as all get out. 🚨

Sorry to say but it will have a sad ending.

Pattaya is a fun town but also many drifters and crazies around so what was so important to go out at 04:00 AM?

Waste of a great bike, I woulda bought it for 20k no book no keys !

That's the thing about Pattaya, the motorbikes cause 90% of all the problems; super loud noise 24/7 and marauding vampire punks!

Agree..it has been 4 days already. Sadly I think we all can surmise the outcome for them. I see the police have sniffer dogs searching now, so hopefully it won't be long until more facts are known.😢

One of the suspects was released from prison only a few days ago after serving time for rape and robbery according to Thai news sources , even his own mother was unhappy about his release ,,, i fear that these 2 Russian kids are dead and the girl was raped .. a bad situation

Maybe, maybe and maybe.

I sure don't know anything useful.

So I won't be adding to any speculation. Good advice?

Meet these people here, give them the money, come back with the bag. Guess what, bag gets stolen kids get buried. Shame on the parents, sending the kids in.

It has been reported elsewhere that the siblings were living with their mother, who has been described as a "single mother". So therefore no father on the scene.
