Why drug or loan related?. Could be straight out assault with intention to rape both the young woman and boy. Speculating does not solve the problem.

This will most definitely not have a happy ending. However, people just don´t meet up with other people on the road and travel to the forest together to pick mushrooms at 4 am. This is either drug or

The poor parents. Not one, but two children lost this way. They will never be the same.

You don’t know what happened you only have guess the same thing with your nonsense in other sub forums and you know nothing neither here or there.

What is going on with the reality of these youngsters family is terrifying and all you types care about is winning in the pathetic guessing game.

You do know that you are in a discussion forum and not a parental support group, don’t you?

If all anybody is allowed to say is how sad it is for the parents, this would be a boring discussion, wouldn’t it?

You don’t HAVE to participate if you don’t want to.

We're just back to how the parents let them head out at 4AM, unless they were in on it.

Meet these people here, give them the money, come back with the bag. Guess what, bag gets stolen kids get buried. Shame on the parents, sending the kids in.

If you research the full story, you will find out that they stayed with their mom only. I seriously doubt your theory about the mom being in on a "deal" of any type. However, this is a bizarre story. No young kids go out at 04:00 am, then drive down the road they did, speak to some random person on the side of the road, then drive back to where they came from before disappearing, then having the motorcycle turn up in pieces buried in 2 different locations. This seems far too organized. I really do hope they find them alive, but it seems unlikely after all this time.

There is a river near there?

They didn't want it found is the best guess.....

It's Chonburi, there is always a river/lake/reservoir near.

At about 4am on 26 July, the brother and sister left their home at Bristol Park village in Huay Yai on the Honda motorcycle. Their family believes they were heading to a convenience store, but they then lost contact.

CCTV reviewed by police reportedly showed the two travelling back from the Map Ta Phut-Najomtien motorway towards a parallel road. They stopped for around two minutes to speak with unidentified men on another motorcycle, before all travelled in the direction of Chak Ngaeo Road near Wat Yang Yai.

Their mother, Zarina, reported them missing at Huay Yai Police Station on 28 July.

Assuming they were all living together, what parent waits 48 hours to report both their children missing, especially when one of them is still only 17?

The Thai police are often very effective at finding people through CCTV, phone tracking, neighbourhood enquiries etc. While 4-5 am is very early, a lot of people are up and about in Thailand (market traders, farm workers, many others).

When the police are not very effective, it's not unknown for it to be because there is pressure not to be effective.

This whole sorry story stinks.

Your point reminds me a bit of an investigative report I watched which talked about how in London when Russian oligarchs dominated, the police were less than thorough on crime / "accidental" deaths / missing persons incidents involving that crowd.

They being Russian may or may not be very relevant, but it's worth asking.

OK the 2 suspects have been arrested in Sakaeo and admitted to killing the 2 russians for their motorcycle , a gun and other violence was used , but they are not admitting to rape ,, The police are still searching for the bodies near kho Chi chan ....One of the suspects is a well known violent criminal , and was only released from jail recently
