You are right for many. Why people join gyms etc or go motorbiking. Millions of bored retirees with no hobbies.

My last beer was 4 weeks ago.

Do you still think that Guinness tastes like Coca-Cola?

Food is a huge part of Thai society. So is Buddhism. Maybe you never noticed.

Even after years in Thailand you are on a farang forum seeking farangs to talk to as you clearly have no Thai friends.

Guiness tastes like charcoal not coke.

Maybe you thought it tasted like coke but I never did. Otherwise you have me mixed up with somebody else and you have memory issues.

Guinness is actually my favorite beer in that category. Smooth as silk, dark in appearance but light in taste, with that roast cocoa tinge. Some like Miller or Budweiser, which I think tastes like piss, although that's a guess of course. I like all types, from clear and light to dark and full flavor, as long as they have flavors that aren't too flat or too bitter. Rolling Rock, Tsingtao, Sapporo, Coors, Heineken, Modelo, Corona and many more, especially many craft beers I can't remember right off that I had years ago.

I only drink it once in a while. Very heavy drop. More like food than a beer. Largers are very light in comparison.

I like English brown ales more. Better flavour profile.

Heavy because that's what some people like. Hundreds of different beers if that's your thing. This is why there are quite a few bars in America that have up to 50 on tap or in bottles, so people can have a variety to sample. Texas especially is noted for these places.

I like American beers. For me a larger is best in summer whilst a stronger Ale is best in winter.

Beer Lao Dark is my fav beer in Thailand though. It is not as heavy as Guiness.

Chang/Leo are cats piss.

If there is a mall around the corner, do the government planning department / the mayoral team that oversee planning think that another mall opening around the corner might not be the wisest use of real estate space ?

I do understand most of these are now using the mall, cheap labour, to actually sell the condo and hotel around it - but still it just getting annoying now.

Go to see cities like Paris, and you don't have to be wall to wall malls.

No you clearly said Guinness is like coca-cola, in the same thread (or possibly even the same post) you said every Irish themed bar in Bangkok serves food that tastes like slop. You've obviously been in them all and broken your budget to pay for a meal. Probably the same thread you said you were putting me on ignore.

Further to my reply to Mr Road, above, the thread I refer to is "Trying to find a reasonably priced Guinness in Bangkok". May 9, the poster was Pints of Bangkok.

Your post on May 10 stated "these fake Irish bars are not Thai cuisine, the food is slop and the beers overpriced".

Your post on May 26 stated "it tastes like heavy coke".
