Do you believe in the Scientific Method? And, why?

The scientific method is based on our (humans') belief in logic, reason, and cause and effect, all of which are delusions created by our intellect. In reality, all is chaos. But, just as I conduct my life, the best I can, based on logic and reason because I, too, am human, I rely on science, math, geometry, the passage of time, and the scientific method, all of which I know are just delusions.

The earth and moon are not in chaos. The earth is a perfect balance of life. Math is pure science.

Your belief that the Earth and Moon are not in chaos is based on your delusions of logic and reason, which are the basis for physics.

The Earth does not have a "perfect balance of life." The Earth has humans, who are destroying the planet's biosphere and will soon cause the extinction of most of the life on this planet.

Math is pure science, or at least is based on the same delusions as science. An example of that in math is that there is no such thing in reality as anything that is a "1." 1 is just another delusion created by our human intellect.

Dear Folks,

Some do, and some do not, believe in the Scientific Method.

What is your opinion?

If the world were run, politically and otherwise, based on the Scientific Method, would life not be far more pleasant for the Common Man, not to mention the LaoBaiXing?

How might adherence to the Scientific Method improve governance, at all levels?

Or, what about Witch Dunking?

Which would you prefer, in a perfect world?

Best regards,

Gamma

NOTE: How might the Scientific Method be applied in governance?

Still, do you imagine that most chimps want evidence-based governmental policy?

Just asking....(for a friend)...

Here is an example of American Evidence-Based Governmental Policy at work:

Obviously impossible.

Example: where is scientific proof that it's imminent important to have a ballroom next to White House?

I've never read "I AM," but the description of it on the Web is close to what I am saying.

I would disagree with the use of the noun "I" based on my brief understanding of the book. In reality, there is no "I"; there is only "AM." Any idea of an "I," just as the idea of a separate self, is just another delusion.

The earth is the perfect distance from the sun and yearly cycles.

You are a climate change nut. Hence your poor understanding of science.

1 means solo. One male dog. One apple.

Saying 1 is a delusion is crazy talk. I'd say you have lost the plot.

I discovered to my surprise that I can find water underground with two metal rods. Science can't explain everything. Science is useful but it doesn't yet cover all cases.

You, IMO, are a complete idiot. All planets could be said to be "the perfect distance" from their sun, and most rotate in what could be called "yearly cycles." We, humans, have evolved on this planet and judge everything there to be "perfect" because our evolution has adapted our bodies and minds to it.

And the above is an answer based on logic and reason because I am human and because it's a response to another human's ideas. In reality, all is chaos.

My "I" (self) is typing up these posts. And "you" (yourself) are reading them and commenting on them. But in reality, there is no separate self. All is One. All is chaos.

Yes, 1 means solo, yet nothing is solo and independent of everything else. Using some examples of the things you cited above, where does one dog end and the other begin? Where does the apple end and the tree begin, and the tree end and the dirt begin? They are all connected. They are all just part of everything. You could call everything "1," but that would be close to the beginning of a religion, which, IMO, is just another attempt, like science, to explain things by putting them in some other perspective, and is also just another delusion. All is chaos. There is no such thing as 1, or other integers, or math, or logic, or straight lines, or the passage of time. These are all just delusional products of our human intellect. They have proved very useful in helping us survive, but they are delusions.

In biology class we were taught humans, with 2 sexes, M & F

Social Studies, we we taught humans with 3 sexual preferences, straight, gay or bi. Amazing how we progressed to 72. Evolution is amazing 😂

All based on science, of course.

The US Government is NOT run in accordance with the Scientific Method.

This is obvious.

The rotation of a planet is not a 'yearly cycle', it's a 'daily cycle'. The revolution of a planet represents the 'yearly cycle'.

When you start to realize how many hypothesis are taken as proven by "scientists", the lack of the Scientific Method is obvious.

Science does not prove anything is true.

Otherwise, this would not be science.

Hope you understand the distinction.

That’s not reality, that is religion. The universe is not chaos like some confused human minds. For example, evolution has an order such as the evolution of some human beings of gibberish incoherent confused nonsense. If you have any clue and understanding of what it is that you’re trying to get your head around then you would know that all this life form on earth evolved from carbon, hydrogen, oxygen, sulfur and phosphorus is how all this started here on this planet, all in an evolutionary order. As posted early on this thread, idiocy here is guaranteed, best for folks to keep their mouths shut when they don’t know what it is that they’re looking at and come here with wild self interpretations.

0% of earth patterns are chaos.

While the physical laws governing Earth are deterministic, scientists often introduce stochastic (random) terms into climate and weather models. This isn't because nature is inherently random, but because human computers lack the computing power to measure every single air molecule or leaf on Earth.

Key Takeaway: Earth isn't run by random dice rolls. It is a deeply interconnected clockwork mechanism where the gears are so numerous and sensitive that the output looks like randomness.

It will never change. Science is merely one of many tools to be used or abused.

As are statistics!

Humans, and all life, evolve to live with chaos. Humans, and virtually all animals, take that one step further and impose logical, cause-and-effect patterns over the chaos. That's how we and all life survives.

I was just using the word the original poster used. I should have used the term "orbit" instead of "rotate."

"Carbon, hydrogen, oxygen, sulfur, and phosphorus" are just names we give to conjugations of chaos that form enough of a pattern that we think they are unique and separate. They actually are not. There is no absolute demarcation of where hydrogen stops and oxygen begins. They overlap and, because of that, are chaotic.

I am discussing and you are wrong and you know it. We’re all just talking here having a conversation. You made an ignorant statement and were corrected and now you feel offended by the correction and internalized it and then lash out. You don’t look like a well balanced person. Did you feel insulted every time a school teacher corrected you?
