Canada gives Trump the right answer

Lol, the United States is not bankrupt and could never be bankrupt. The US is richer than God.

You're just an ignorant German who is not aware of the facts of the situation. America is living off money from its vassall states, why would it use its own money when it can use the money of Japan, China, Britain, Germany etc?

There is a small issue with interest rearing its head though, which is why the US should invade Canada, appropriate the 51 trillion USD in assets, and bring the interest right down.

Cameroni is this something like the Popes Camerlengo, but here for the bankcrupt?

What Cameroni is presenting here are his unfulfilled pipe dreams, his statements are intended to cover up his despair about the condition of the defeated loser of the Iran war, and are intended to cover up the condition of the USA and its moral decay. But above all, many former very good friends are turning away from the USA. Thanks to Trump.

Keep it up, November brings crying and gnashing of teeth about Trump, MAGA and especially Cameroni.

The champagne is already cold!

Lol, you do talk some nonsense. Who lost the Iran war? Certainly not America.

If you seriously think Iran won the war against the US you need your head examined even more than I thought.

No, he listened to Rosie O'Donell halucinating on tiktok and took it as fact. Remember, if you apply common sense to any conundrum you are "in a cult", but if you parrott the words of mentally ill showbiz karens your all good.

Yes, that's true. But that price rather pales when compared to the economic chaos the Iranians are going through.

We’re not losing. Iran is. Like Iran, you’re just watching CNN.

You support Iran so naturally you feel that way.

Has the Moron achieved anything?
He just made everything worse. The mullahs are still strong, the Strait of Hormuz is in the hands of Iran, they control shipping there, many people, including US soldiers, have died for the vanity of an orange. And there is still no control over Iran's stockpile of weapons-grade uranium.

The bugbear didn't achieve anything positive or even a success.

Do you benefit from this?
Or is it just a feeling of satisfaction from those who have not achieved their goals and are now happy that innocent people have to suffer?
Ridiculous.

Yeah, but enough about Iran. Let's talk about you.

Why so much hate for Canada? Were you in a maple syrup importing business and you got screwed over by a Canuck on a major shipment?

All warmongers and people who think the solution to all the world's problems is war and aggression and looting of land and resources need to go back to Hell ie where they come from.

Just curious...in Trump World, did Gen George Armstrong Custer also win?

I remember what Trump noted as his goals on 28 February. He achieved a sum total of none of them.

But the important thing, I guess, is that the demented old coot made a pile of money off of the war he started, trading equities and oil, and since self-aggrandizement and padding his accounts is his primary goal, I guess one could say he did win. That 18 service people died, upwards of 750 were injured, a $hundred billion was spent, according to some estimate, Hegseth is now asking for a 50% increase in the defense budget at a time when National Debt topped $40,000,000,000,000, nobody likes the US anymore, oil is still 40-45% higher per barrel than on 27 February.

I guess since Trump claims he won an election he lost is keeping in character (or total lack thereof) for him claiming he won that war.

Oh, and 168 elementary school girls are dead. Trump may be a psychopath lacking any sort of human empathy, but whoever pushed the button on that Tomahawk has to live with that guilt for the rest of his or her life. If you've ever been in combat, you might know that feeling.

It's an eclectic mix of products the US imports from Canada, from auto parts to electricity to the aluminum that goes into beer and soda can to the wood fiber used to make toilet paper.

Maybe the White House Grift Shop will begin selling Trump Autograph model bum guns.

I am surprised there is so little mention of two of the aspects that US negotiators demanded at the last minute, resulting in Canada walking away from the negotiation, where both of the last minute aspectes, involved to varying degrees, Canadian sovereignty.

1. Canadian officials cited last-minute U.S. demands targeting French language protections and bilingual packaging requirements as a major dealbreaker. U.S. negotiators disputed this, claiming their focus was on streaming and digital media regulations rather than physical labeling. However, Canada viewed any pushback against its language laws as an unacceptable threat to cultural sovereignty. That was not acceptable to Canada.

2. US wanted words in the agreement that in effect gave the USA a veto over future Canadian trade agreements with other countries. That was also not acceptable to Canada.

Its unlikely any amount of economic bullying by the POTUS administration will result in Canada removing those requirements. As was summed up by a recent CNN article "When people see their sovereignty and independence threatened by a hostile greater power, there is almost no price they will not pay".

Yeah well, doesn't mean we should be thumping our chests and perpetuating it and follow the lowest common denominator.

Einstein was famously anti-war, and he was also famously highly educated and intelligent.

Here's one of Einstein's thoughts on war:

If you use your brain, there are always better solutions.

But most people are not educated.

Because it's hard work to develop the brain.

It's a lot easier to pick up a gun.

Here's one of Einstein's thoughts on war:

"no one" ?

Reads words like someone who never lived in the Francophone communities in South Saskatchewan, nor Manitoba, nor New Brunswick.

My background is irish/Scottish (and with some American background from family who migrated to Canada in the late 1800s) albeit one has to go back to the Red River settlement and earlier for my Scotish family tree history and migration to Canada. I was born in Saskatchewn, lived and worked in British Columbia, and in Saskatchewan, and in Ontario, and in Nova Scotia, and I also worked in Quebec. ... Montreal and Quebec City are fabulous cities - and yes, i appreciate the view of Quebecers (and others) who care about such French language rights - just like i care about English language rights.

But you are right, ... yes like millions of Canadian's who don't like Quebec, there are also Canadian's who consider those of us who care, nothing more than 'no one'. That is part of the problem Canada has had for over a century.

It was a general statement. Of course some people dont think like that.

Not many from my experience.

The language concerns are a 1 way street for Quebec. As evident by how things actually work there.

Douche sprays are also used extensively in the Islamic world for religious reasons (the left hand etc), so unlikely.

Makes it more likely this is a contrived crisis. Because these things were added in last moment into a carefully and toughly negotiated agreement. These weren't minor changes, that would take some oblique thinking to show a Canadian disadvantage. They were hand grenades. The US and Canada will come to an agreement, eventually, and it will likely more more or less what was previously agreed. But now some loons have been spending their days talking about invading Canada. They are not discussing the war in the Gulf, which might soon be described as bogged down. They are not talking about allegations of corruption. They are not discussing domestic policy. They are not discussing upcoming elections. Or any number of other topics, such as monthly or quarterly economic indicators.

One might say this is the hand of Steve Bannon, and his flood the endzone tactic. This is basically US domestic politics writ large.

Well, maple syrup was a disappointment, not gonna lie. But it's the way they talk. Aboot??? Who can listen to these Canadians talk without wanting to yell at them "It's not aboot! What the hell are you saying???"

So linguistically they're suspect. Philosophically and culinarily, do they even exist? Would anybody miss Canadians?

I don't have strong feelings on them, actually, it's just they're sitting on 51 trillion USD of assets, and don't seem to have contributed much to humanity. If the US were to annex those lands and resources, it would be better. There's hope for America. There's none for Canada.
