Canada gives Trump the right answer

Agreements with the excited states of merica don't seem to be worth much.

Any agreement with Trump is not worth the paper that it's written on. Anybody with such a depraved sense of ethics, morality and loyalty thinks absolutely nothing of breaking a promise, breaking a treaty, and his word means less than dirt. Trump is an ugly pig and he has the heart and brain of a crocodile. Disaster Don is by far the worst president America has ever had, and the only way that fact can be argued is to bring up Buchanan or Harrison.

I am not.

But that's how the world works. Countries need resources and are willing to go war for them if necessary.

Why do you think Russia has been under attack by the West / NATO?

Yes you are both MAGA and warmonger, as you just suggested to invade a peaceful neighbouring country for its resources.

And Russia isn't under attack of NATO, it's vice versa.

Another example of your twisted MAGA mind.

It's vice versa based on Western media bias because they don't want to be seen as the bad guy.

I'm not advocating an invasion. I'm saying it could happen though.

I'm advocating that Carney needs to be more compliant and placate the US to avoid potential conflict.

OK. But he can't force individual Canadians to buy US products.

I don't necessarily think they are, but if their Master commands it, so be it.

They must obey his insistence on fealty, as loyal subjects must do, at the risk of expulsion, and he and the sorry capitulance of the morally bankrupt GOP leaves them no choice.

That's nonsense. Many presidents have started many wars.

And the average person has no say in the matter. Because we're not living a democracy. It's an illusion.

The CIA killed the hippie movement during the Vietnam War because they were getting too anti-war. So they brought in Charles Manson to make hippies look like deranged murderers.

Bad news for MAGA, Canada's demise has been postponed by a week!😆

"General Motors plans to assemble a heavy-duty pickup at an Ontario plant as part of a tentative deal with a key union that would pump $1.1-billion into Canada’s auto sector as it reels from U.S. tariffs, a union bargaining report said on Saturday.

The investment comes as Canada’s auto sector grapples with 25 per cent U.S. tariffs on vehicles, with U.S. President Donald Trump pledging to double them to 50 per cent on Jan. 1, 2027.

GM plans to spend $144-million to add the next-generation heavy-duty GMC Sierra truck to a plant in Oshawa, and pledged not to immediately sell or close a second assembly plant in Ingersoll, Ontario, according to the bargaining report from the union Unifor."

Since treaties mean nothing to the Moron, why should Canada adhere to such ancient treaties? I hope you give him a sharp answer here too.

The treaty is a reciprocal bargain that protects Canadian interests. It gives American vessels access to connecting canals such as the Welland, but in return guarantees Canadian vessels equal navigation rights throughout the shared Great Lakes system and establishes a framework for resolving disputes over water and navigation. Abandoning it would mean throwing away those protections.

An interesting observation, suggesting you suffer from some form of attention deficit disorder, a form of autism.

I'm not American. I am a modern Disraelite; a One Nation Tory who supports Disraeli's aims of national cohesion, social stability, patriotism, a sense of common citizenship, and prevention of society from becoming divided into mutually hostile classes, but who embraces Thatcherite means of achieving that; competitive markets, enterprise, wider property ownership, economic reform, reduced trade-union power and personal responsibility.

The U.S. is exporting gender studies professors to Canada.

This is the worst thing they have ever done to a foreign country 🤣 Poor Canadian taxpayers.. and students.

Canada just spent half a billion dollars poaching 64 academics, three-quarters of them from the U.S., and then CTV put the most revealing quote on TV

Talia Bettcher (trans philosophy / gender studies) is leaving Cal State LA for a taxpayer-funded chair at Waterloo because, in her words, it “felt unsafe for me even in Los Angeles given the increase in anti trans sentiment.” That’s not a materials scientist fleeing grant cuts. That’s an identity-politics scholar being paid by Ottawa to relocate over a political climate she dislikes. The program is sold as “doubling down on science.” Some recruits are doing storms, solvents, and health. Fine. Mixing those with “trans community resilience” chairs and equity-framed geography shows the real filter: Canada is importing people who share the government’s moral posture, then calling it “talent strategy.” Minister Joly said they saw an “opportunity to seize.” Opportunity for what—research output, or a subsidized ideological transfer?

If the U.S. is cutting unstable grants, compete on labs and results. Don’t write eight-year, million-a-year cheques so someone can feel safer doing gender theory north of the border. Taxpayers should ask how many of these 64 chairs would exist if the selection criterion were “what actually scales Canada’s productivity,” not “who is fleeing the culture war.”

Canada seems to be doing very well despite being attacked by the wannabe dictator of a huge nation in rapid decline. The difference in competence and leadership abilities between PM Mark Carney and trump is mind-blowing. I don't think Canada could have had a better leader than they currently have during such turbulent times .

Go Canada!thumbsup

Listen to Bloomberg Editor-In Chief, Matt Winkler, he's not exactly bearish on Canada's economy.thumbsup

Sometimes, defying trump pays off handsomely. MapQuest saw Stupid pretend to rename Lake Ontario and said, "nah, not having that".thumbsup
