What prophecy?

I am aware of every doomsday prophecy, but never heard of that one.

Do you have a link to it?

To be clear I would be perfectly fine with and in fact be in favor of for all people entering Thailand to be given a document available in many languages of advice and suggestions above acceptable behavior in Thailand and also warnings about the current (arguably extreme) Thai laws now in effect to combat unwanted behavior.

Is that OK with you or do you think that only Israeis and Jews should receive such information?

You proved my point dude.

Of course I'm aware of the incident with Italians.

Yet, let me check.

No hyp[er nationalist xenophobic protests at the Italian embassy.

No demand that the Italian government try to educate all their nationals entering Thailand,

No angry mob successfully shutting down an important religious event for Italians.

Italians, ONE questionable incident involving children.

Israelis, thousands over decades. Wake up!

The Israeli embassy is being diplomatic.

That's the job of diplomats.

But I'm sure they can clearly see what's really going on now in Thailand

A season of hyper nationalism (by some but certainly not all Thais) for now specifically scapegoating Israelis and recently bleeding into explicit racist Jew hatred evidenced by the vile signs at the emabassy protests and also the clearly Islamist wave against Jews in Southern Thailand.

It doesn't do anything good for the long standing and important relationship between Israel and Thailand and also for their nationals living and visiting Thailand to be honest about what they know to be true.

I never said it was. You're dodging the main point with terminally literal tactics.

Israel does NOT deserve to be only nation scapegoated by this ugly wave of hyper nationalism here.

Everyone should understand that antisemitism is literally the fuel of Zionism, and that's why Zionists create antisemitism globally right now. Also in Thailand. That's why everyone critical of Israel is blamed to be antisemitic nowadays, but that's also why so many Israeli behave so badly. It follows a Zionist agenda, but it also follows the cabbalists prophecy in their predicted end-times.

I do not expect that many understand what I wrote, though.

I admit I didn't understand so I asked Gemini -

I concede the commenter's point that I don't understand his comment. Explain it to me like I'm 5.

Here is what that commenter is trying to say, broken down as simply as possible:

  • The Big Claim: The commenter believes that people who support Israel (Zionists) actually want people to hate Jewish people (antisemitism) because it helps them achieve their goals.

  • The Global Plot: They claim that these supporters are secretly causing hatred against Jewish people all over the world—even in places like Thailand—on purpose.

  • The Blame Game: They argue that whenever someone criticizes the country of Israel today, they get unfairly called antisemitic, and that this is part of the secret plan.

  • The Bad Behavior: They think that when some Israeli people act badly, it isn't an accident; it is part of this master plan to push a specific political agenda and fulfill an ancient religious end-of-the-world prophecy.

In short, the comment is pushing a classic conspiracy theory. It claims that a group of people are secretly controlling global events and manufacturing hatred against themselves on purpose to make their prophecies come true.

Really, the reaction should be toward Israelis behaving badly, not Jews in general as many Jews are not from Israel.... as that's like sanctioning all Catholics just because Spanish citizens are doing something wrong.

Also, there are many errant nationalities like Russians/Chinese etc. too, but they are not pointed out much as it's not useful to certain narratives... so it seems to be other dark motives and agendas smelling blood and trying to max it out to oppress as much as possible.

All crimes/misdeeds should be evaluated on a case-by-case basis and any outcomes directed toward individual perps... not resulting in generalised oppression or sanctions of an entire section of the population.

Quoting has gone mad hence the weird format

My wife, who many years ago ran a souvenir shop in Patong, told me the biggest thieves were the Italians. The shopkeepers had a sort of bush telegraph between them, and if they caught a thief, other shopkeepers would pile in. She'd charge them ten times the already hugely inflated price, or the police would be called. She loved the light-fingered Italians — it was payday.

The most gullible, she said, were the Japanese. She could massively overcharge them — 3,000 baht for a Buddha-head mask that had cost her 100 baht.

No other nation is being forced to issue instruction letters to their nationals.

Nobody is having their scared holiday observance shut down under threat of a mob of inflamed Muslims but Jews.

You're accusation is ridiculous,

It's a fact now that Israelis and Jews are being specifically scapegoated for obvious political reasons.

It's an ugly hysteria now in Thailand fueled by social media.

Face facts or you're not worth talking to.

And you are pretending that this is just about general anti-semitism and hatred of Jews, and has nothing to do with Israeli policy or blowback from extremist operations and the murdering of thousands of women and children.

Very few things in life ever happen in a vacuum. Unfortunately a lot of people conflate being Jewish and being Israeli, and millions who are Jewish are no longer supporting Israeli policy, now that they've become an apartheid, genocidal pariah state.

It was the biggest land thieves of all - the British colonial bastards that gifted it to Siam so they got the railway to Burma. The British Empire is probably the single biggest source of conflict in the modern world - divide and rule. When the flag shaggers say they want their country back what they are in fact saying is they want their country to take other people's countries back , and white faces stained with sweat and coal dust drinking pints of mild for 3d whilst knocking one off to commemorative Corontion plates of QE2.

"I think you're intentionally spreading racist Jew hatred"

SpiderMike said nothing about Jews - this is about Israelis! Sure, most are probably of the Jewish faith, but that is not where the dislike is directed. It is directed towards some Israelis (of any and no faith) who treat Thais with arrogance (you've seen the bare-arse photos that I took in 7/11 - I have many more not yet posted lol!).

This is nothing about Jews....

There is a minority of bad apples in all nationalities.

Why is only the Israelii embassy being pressured to take action?

Do you think that's fair?

This should explain a lot !

Even some Israeli agree with you.

Antisemitic is a Trick we always use.2.jpg

If the Israeli Embassy in Thailand has to issue a warning specifically to its own citizens about their behaviour, that is certainly noteworthy – and it inevitably raises the question of what some Israeli tourists are apparently getting up to over there. Well, the truth is they act like real as...............s.

What makes it particularly remarkable is that, when it comes to Israel and its citizens, one could almost get the impression that the blame is always someone else’s. Criticism? Antisemitism. Protests? Antisemitism. Consequences for one’s own behaviour? Apparently that can be labelled antisemitism as well.

And, of course, there is the rather substantial political safety net provided by the United States. It seems remarkably resilient, even when Israel faces widespread international criticism over serious human rights violations in their own coountry. The UN bodies have repeatedly condemned or criticised its actions.

But never mind – that’s another story. Or, more precisely, a story one apparently has to discuss very carefully if one does not want to be immediately shoved into a convenient little box.

Coming from an :anti-Zionist" that most likely doesn't think Israel has a right to exist.

At least you're open about your extreme hostility.

They didn't have to.

They were pressured as Israeli is being scapegoated.

Thailand should be more clear this is about bad behavior from all foriegners.

Thailand should ban all Israelis from entering the country. They cause a lot of problems, not only in Thailand. Indonesia, Malaysia and the Maldives have already banned all Israelis from entering the country.

So now you HIJACK the topic to be about the conflict in Israel rather than the actual topic about bad behavior in Thailand. Israelis in Thailand are NOT the government of Israel any more than an American in Thailand is an operative of the Trump regime.

Bans mostly have nothing to do with tourist behavior but rather political non-recognition of state of Israel. Your post is extremely misleading.

I get you want them banned from Thailand.

That is never going to happen.

Thailand and Israel have excellent relations.

You're GASLIGHLIGHTING now.

Goebbels couldn't have written more racist Jew hating posts than you have,

At some point you cant keep playing that everyone hates jews card. If jews or Israels are acting badly they should be called out, just like ever other race or nationality.

Pretty much every nationality has been $hit on at some point in time as much as Jews. It doesnt give a licsense to act above anyone else or condemn others for speaking their opinion.

Look at the Israel government's actions and place some blame on them for the Nazi like behavior toward their neighboring countries if you want others to show respect as a general view. Stop being a hypocrit

I guess Sondhi's protests got the attention of the Israeli government. That should be the message all embassy give to their citizens.

The problems involving some Israeli tourists in Thailand are a current issue, and there is evidence for individual cases. But what evidence do you have that Malaysia and Indonesia banned Israelis because they were causing trouble? Malaysia has explicitly said its ban is a decades-old foreign-policy decision because it doesn't recognise Israel. Those are two completely different things.
